Logo Design Competition for The Supreme Council for the Environment & Natural Reserves
The Supreme Council for the Environment & Natural Reserves is announcing an open competition to all amateur and professional designers who are interested in the field of designing logos to design a logo for the council under the below-mentioned conditions. The logo should express the identity of the council that represents the identity of the Qatari environment in its different sectors (marine environment, land environment, and the air sector).
(The winning designer will receive QR20,000.)
[Update : Arabic version of the rules which include the Arabic name to be used on logo is now attached]
Conditions
- The logo should express the Qatari environment.
- It should include the council's name in both Arabic & English.
- It should be characterized by modernism, creativity and simplicity.
- The designer should attach an explanation of the idea of the logo and the colors used in it.
- The logo should be presented in A4 format and A5 in size.
And it must be reproduced in full color format (four colors only). - The winning design can not be used for other purposes and its ownership will be to the Supreme council only.
- It is possible to participate with more than one design but not exceeding three designs.
- The Deadline for submitting the logo by e-mail or hard copy will be the 17th of July 2007.
- The winning logo will grant a financial reward which is QR20,000.
- The Supreme council has the rights to refuse any design if it's not applicable for the above rules.

waoow ...I would have probably sent my "Design Environment" had they advertised for a competition for ideas to help get rid of pollution.
Anyways what happened to the old Logo?
Supreme Council for Environment and Natural Reserves is getting a lot of publicity through this competition
It is not the logo that matters it is what you do for the public to help save the environment that matters.
Come up with a recycling policy please

In as much as we want to join, I would like to ask if there's a chance that someone (not present here in Qatar) could submit his entry to this contest? He was here last year but went back to his home country to continue his studies. I did not see anything mentioned here in the conditions that he/she must be in Qatar currently. Please clarify.

you typed in the wrong add... ...Same thing happened to my friend half an hour a go. If you are talking about the first email address, then the correct one is qatarENV and not qatarNV. That was the problem which he faced. try again, it will not bounce back.
I say because both his applications were delivered without any problems.

Guys! here's a news for you ...Guys! here's a news for you i was told from reliable sources that there were aroun almost 600 entries and out of them 10 of them were short listed, and now even one more is gone and 9 are lying out of that they will be selecting one very shortly. Have a gud luk guyz!!

Latest news Re: SCENR logo competition ...Hi to all SCENR logo participants, I have just received an e-mail from SCENR that the lucky winner will be posted on the newspaper once the choosen logo design has been approved .

Just to share: ...Well, i have been called about 4 months back i did visited them they wanted to see my options on different colletrials, though my option was not the selected one but yes it was short listed out of 600(±) entries the guy there told me that. at the time they had 9 logos which were short listed and mine was one of them. Afetr that i never got any call from them just an email saying that they will soon announce the winner name.
