Mohamed, his companions and holyness of sex
As i have told several times, i should become muslim if my love and i decide to marry.
Today, i went to Lisbon's mosque to talk with Sheik David Munir about it and he gave me 2 books and some panflets, where i found an interesting reply by Mohamed to his companions concerning sexual intercourse with wife and decided to write it here.
"The prophet told his companions that they will be rewarded even for having sexual intercourse with their wives. The companions were astonished and asked: "How are we going to be rewarded for doing something we enjoy very much?" The prophet asked them: "supose you satisfy your desires illegally, don't you think you'll be punished for that?" They replied: "Yes" so he said: "by satisfying it legally with your wives and you are rewarded with it." This means they are acts of worship."

I'll be reading more and eventually make other posts regarding what i'm reading about Islam.
And no, i may convert but will always be the racional guy most people know ;)

The whole story ...This selection was taken from a larger hadeeth which was collected by Imam Muslim. Some of the prophet's companions went to him and complained that the rich Muslims were able to get more reward from Allah than they were because they were not able to give charity like the rich people could. Then the prophet mentioned several things that a person can do which they will be rewarded for (If you want I'll post them later). The last thing the prophet mentioned was the reward for having relations with your spouse.
One of the points of this hadeeth is it shows how merciful Allah is to His creation. He has legislated His religion in such a fashion that even the poorest person can do certain acts of kindness like smiling at a felllow Muslim and be given a reward for giving charity and Allah knows best.
If anyone is interested, I'll try to post something like this every few days. Let me know what you think.

Where I come from, you're a sex offender if you rape or molest a person or force an underage child to perform unspeakable acts on you, but this was about two Indonesians who were deeply in love and caught in their sponsor's house. After imprisonment and deportation they were planning on getting married back in their homeland.
How can love be an offense? Maybe shiism is the way to go: "Really officer, we weren't having illegal sex, we were just being married for an hour!"

There is one basic neccessity here. The belief or following of a religion.
Since, you, like others are athiest, then obviously you will disagree with the concept - and you would be correct.
However for those who are religious and believe that sex outside marriage is illegal, then this applies to them..
I still believe that Platao was being a mischievous in posting this issue, but at least it led to a discussion.
