I was reading back through forums from before I joined QL ...sl was there, butting in and making off-topic quips, but not like the way he had become over last few weeks.
He was changing his job here in Doha, maybe he was bored, stressed, something! Whatever, he seemed to go completely OTT (Over The Top).
New ID and fresh approach/attitude transplant? and I'm sure most would welcome him back.

Nevertheless, I agree he should be given a chance to come back under a new nick and hopefully behave.

CYman you Missing sl?? ...I am glad that sl is banned for not abiding the rules of QL, moreover all his comments were directly or indirectly degrading women. He is kinda self obsessed and bragging all the time. Those who met him were of the opinion that he is different person in real…then why cant he behave like that in the forum as well.
Of late he is always seeking unwanted attention with his foolish/nasty topics which end up in degrading himself with his own comments. His so-called houmors were really annoying.
If he comes back in a new attaire we should certainly give him a chance... I dont think he will transplant his attitude ..lol difficult to find a donor who matches his humor sense..lol!
Hope you all can meet his in Mr.Paul's farewell party tomorrow.

I agree with Gypsy Gal about ...I agree with Gypsy Gal about sl's comments. Many, many times he was derogatory towards women. It was not funny. Some used to say oh he's only joking, his wife knows all about it, she's sitting by his side most of the time he's typing, etc.
It's a respect issue.
I can take a joke with the rest and the best of them but THAT kind of humour , no, I just don't like.
However. I'm all for second chances.

If thats true. ...If this is true that he is banned then hats off to QATARI to implementing laws strictly otherwise this place is becoming quiet annoying because of his presence.
anyhow its hard to straighten the tail of most loved pet, may be thats the reason I seen some of those pets with very small tails to make illusion of being the straight one.
Hope everyone follow these short guidelines and try not to annoy anyone here.

I remember he made his nastiest comments on the day he was last seen alive on QL. Thank God, Qatari deleted it all!!Whatever his problems in his personal life might be but the way he flaunted his ego and taken whole QL for granted, was just disgusting.
Though he was always gentle (may I call it..abnormally gentle?) to me
but I was really terrified of him of late, just because of his harsh words which he was using time to time to my other dear and gentle friends.

SL ...had a personality disorder (havent met him in person but I had the chance to read his postings). He thought of himself as a King and wanted to be treated as a King. He sometimes helped people looking for jobs and by giving them jobs (thats what he claimed) he wanted to tell us that he has the power and he is doing charity work. He thought of himself as above everyone. Some of his stories were hard to digest for me though.
He had a weird sense of homour. Althought some of his posts were quite interesting and worth reading but sometimes he would just start bragging about himself.
In short he was a nice good guy but lately he got the superiority complex and he considered himself superior over others. I know for a fact that he is reading this thread and for those who are wondering where is SL, just pickup the phone and give him a call. I believe you all have his contact number

He was not that bad in the beginning. All of a sudden he got a new job with double his old salary..he became too confused and started acting weird...... and concluded saying that everyone is jealous of him..lol wonder for what?? As if we care how much he earns...I feel sorry for him!

A while back, practically every comment SL made had a sexual inference. I found that annoying at best and offensive at worst. I'm glad I don't have to read his sexual comments anymore.
And I find it impossible to believe that any self-respecting wife would find a husband's sexual comments like that about other women funny.

mufy ...I beg to differ. My impression of him at the coffee meeting was that his online personna isn't really different than his real one. Now I know for everyone who was there you might think I'm a hypocrite for saying this because of how friendly I was towards him but that's only because I'm not the confrontational type. I'm not saying he's a bad guy or anything....just that he came off as a 'bit' arrongant, towards me at least.

Since we are on the topic of SL ...He had something very interesting to say to some of us that night. According to him he had met Qatari who just so happens to be a girl! not only that, but Qatari is fluent in South African after having lived there! I do remember Qatari saying that his destination of choice was somewhere I've never heard of in South Africa so who knows? anyway, I'm waiting on Qatari to confirm/deny this claim ?

"South African" ...There is no such thing. There are a number of different languages spoken there (e.g., English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, etc.) and I am sure Xena can fill you in better than I can. But "South African"? Hmmmmmm, methinks that makes SL even more suspicious....
