Fishing Pole
A boy goes and buys a one-piece fishing pole that is 6' 3" long. As he goes to get on the bus, the bus driver tells him that he can't take anything on the bus longer than 6'.
The boy goes back to town, buys one more thing, and the bus driver allows him on the bus.
He did not damage the fishing pole in any way.
What did he buy, and what did he do with it?

boy bought a 4.5' x 4.5' envelope ...envelope side = square root of (1/2 of ((6'3")^2)),
or about 53.03"; say 54" or 4.5'.
hope the envelope is strong enough for the pole though :)

Goodmorning IOU ...Yes you are right. You can even go for a box which is less that 6 feet. Sleepless in Doha is also right, but Box is a better answer.
