Drinking water

Hi all,
Regarding drinking water. I remeber there was a thread at one stage on QL that mentioned that we should change the brand of water that we use in order to prevent the build up of certain minerals in our system.
My question - how often is recommended?
Also, do you all use your drinking water for cooking as well? I usually use it for cooking, and even to soak my rice in. But I wash my veges and fruit under the tap water. And I'll cook pasta in tap water.
Any suggestions about what is best?
Thanx

Drinking water ...This is a reply regarding concern for drinking water and in general water used for cooking.
generally drinking water supplied by Kahrama is suppose to be safe for these purpose, in case someone is really concerned about his/her health, the water should be tested for all dissolved salts and microbes and should confirm to WHO standards.
Some of the bottled water is also unsafe, never take this for granted.
General salts to be looked in drinking water are calcium and magnesium along with toxic elements as well as harmful microbes.
