Aside from that, its a great day for Qatar. Saw a little of the inauguration on Al-Jazeerah. Hope the museum is a success and helps especially the next generation appreciate and take interest in Islamic cultural hesritage and its art..

This is the first step. In ...This is the first step. In order for the museum to reap real benefits, the Muslims and especially the youngsters of Qatar must start studying and learning about Islamic art and history.

I was reading that Abu Dhabi ...I was reading that Abu Dhabi is also jumping on the bandwagon.. So this could be the start of a renainssance for Islamic art and history.

I'd like to learn about Islamic art and history too. I don't know much at the moment. I think this is gonna be my new Friday hobby. I only wander around shopping malls to clear my head from work but this is something very interesting to do. Nice.
