Iraq win Asian Football Cup 2007

diamondgirl's picture

In Jakarta today Iraq Defeated Saudi Arabia 1 - 0 in the final of the Asian Football Cup 2007.

We all screamed and burst into tears here after a tense match...I can't think of a team who deserves it more. They can't even practise in their own country. What an achievement.

Mabrouk Iraq, alf mabrouk.

Something to celebrate amidst all the carnage.

Yallah Iraq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ragnarock Raider said Alf Mabrook, as they say ...

Rarely has a country ever needed as much of a chance or reason to celebrate something...anything!

Considering what the team had to go through just to participate, they deserved it....congratulations.

And to dedicate the victory to the Iraqi people is a class act.
Wether Iraqi or not, we are all proud of the achievement of the "Lions of Mesopotamia"!

May the celebrations and joy ring throughout Iraq and bring happiness to those who suffer daily.

Stay safe all.

Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
