Update : seems to be under control now.
#VillagioFire Firefighters have reached the main source of fire at Villagio and surrounded the area with all means to extinguish fire.

The MOI has sent out a messages urging caution on reporting this. Here is the message :
All are requested not spread rumours as it will create panic among people. Be responsible persons and cooperate with security departments.

At 1:21pm, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior is reporting that the fire has now been contained. In a post on Facebook, it said:
Fire has been controlled initially. Firefighters and other concerned security persons are trying to remove smoke and cool the place. Cooperate with Police to convey only the facts.

Oh, so that's why I've been ...Oh, so that's why I've been hearing loud sirens outside, seems like firetrucks are going there even now. Happy that no one was hurt and fire is under control. And yes, the giggling in this video is very irritating.

condolences ...I can confirm that there were fatalities, as a dear friend of ours' 1 year old baby boy has died as a result of the fire... reports are that there are more children who were in the nursery that have died... I pray that ALLAH gives the families strength to cope with the loss of their children... INALILAHI WA INA ILAHI RAJIOON
