Secondary School Admission
My husband has just got a job in Doha. Presently, my children are studying in Dubai. The older one has just been accepted in Dubai College (starting Year 7 from September 2012). The younger one will be in Year 5 in September. Both of them are going to good schools and doing well in their classes. Can any one let me know what are the secondary school options in Doha? We are not thinking of moving immediately, but want to explore comparable school options in Doha for a possible move in the future.

If they are doing the British ...If they are doing the British system, I suggest Doha College or Parkhouse (mainly expat students). Otherwise, if you can get in, Qatar Academy does IB.

ASD American school Doha ...has a great reputation but usually that also means a long waiting list. Good Luck

Doha College is a good choice ...Doha College is a good choice if you manage to get a place there.

They're in UK curriculum ...They're in UK curriculum schools right now, but I'm flexible on curriculum as long as the teaching, facilities and pastoral care are good.

Greetings from an English "yummy mummy" ...Hi, I've just arrived in Doha ( i have lived in Dubai for 5 years around 4 years ago )I have applied for 2 schools so far i have a year 11 & year 5 to find places for..all the schools here are full already inc Park house etc......if u find 1 with openings plz kindly let me know too.....kind thanks

Someone mentioned Compass in ...Someone mentioned Compass in Al Khor if I am not mistaken. It's the 2nd branch & newly opened. Believe there are places. You may want to check it out
