Co-expatriates,,,let us all respect dress code

cartian's picture
Posted in:

As one of the expat im encouraging each one of us to follow & respect dress code here in Qatar as I can still see in public places some expatriates wearing revealing clothes. Maybe in our country it was allowed but not here. We are all now in their land so let us all give respect public decency. Wear proper clothes. I have read now in Doha news Organizers are calling this campaign “One of Us” - not “No Nudity” - and are revamping the Twitter account. In hopes of educating the expat community on how to dress without offending, a group of Qatari women have recently launched a modesty campaign called “No Nudity” on Twitter.

Qatar in 10 years will be a far different place then it is today..

I think the best way to run the campaign is this:

Employ a number of people to make random phone calls to expatriates. The caller can draw attention to the problem immediately by starting the conversation by asking "what are you wearing?" or "Are you naked right now?"

Last week the ministries council Headed by the prime minister approved a series of laws as preparation for the upcoming Advisory council election in 2013, as follows

2 -A daft Emiri decision on the establishment and formation of an adhoc committee to assign the permanent address of the voter, and the determine its assignments and procedures to be followed .
3 -A draft decision of the Minister of Interior on the ballot system at the state's embassies and consulates abroad to elect members of the Advisory Council.

This by default will be followed by the establishment of the constitutional court. Once established, future MPs can easily demand the implementation of a dress code in accordance to article 57 of the constitution
