Bus visa to working visa - POEA- OWWA reg?
magandang araw po mga kabayan!!
magtatanung lang po..
although malamang may mga lumang threads na tungkol sa tanung na to pero gusto ko lang itanung uli dahil baka may mga bagong policies na (alam naman natin na pababago bago ang batas dito..hehe)
anyway eto po ang siste.
I initially came here under business visa, na-transfer na po ako sa working visa... Now my question is since hindi aware ang OWWA na working visa na ako, kelangan ko na ba magparegister sa OWWA? Uuwe ako sa Pinas February 2013, or sa Pinas ko dpat ayusin mga papers?
anu ba ang procudure? ano tawag sa doc na ito, and how much ang babayaran?

since you are hired here and ...since you are hired here and not in the philippines, definitely you have to register here in OWWA. just bring your contract, im not sure if they need the original but make a photocopy then go to OWWA near hamad personnel.

Mga Bayarin:
1. QAR40 - for verification of contract
2. QAR93 - for OWWA Membership
At sa mga uuwi para magbakasyon
1. QAR9 - para sa OEC
Maaari mo rin po etong gawin sa paguwi mo sa Pinas sa 2013, pero mas makabubuting ngayon na iapply, indi po natin alam ang ating kapalaran kagaya nalang ng 3 kabayang Pinay na nasawi sa sunog sa Villagio. Malungkot pero wala silang nakuhang benipisyo.
Sana itoy nakatulong sa mga kabayang pumasok sa Qatar ng Tourist o Visit..
Ito po ay mahalaga, sana bigyan ng pansin at wag ibaliwala.. :)

for you Padre, ...the OP came here on business visa and luckily converted to working visa. She was asking advice if she needs to register with concerned Philippine government agencies to become a documented OFW (since coming here on business visa means she was an undocumented OFW).
And a poster already adviced her to register to make her stay here legal or be a documented OFW. Do you know Padre that one or two of the three Filipinas who died in the Villaggio fire were considered undocumented? Luckily, the Heir Apparent intervened, if not, there will be negative consequence even to the subject of repatriation. That's one concern for UNDOCUMENTED OFW, limited if not totally no benefits or protection from our government.
