A ridge of high pressure extending over Saudi Arabia with a deep low pressure over Gulf causes strong north-westerly winds over Gulf areas.
The intensity of wind will be fresh to strong with speed ranging between 17 – 25knots gusting to 30 knots inshore and 20 – 30 knots offshore and may affect the entire region from today, Wednesday 04th July 2012. The system may intensify further and the maximum temperature may increase to 44-48 degree Celsius today.
This also leads to dusty conditions and causing visibility to reduce to 3 kilometres or less in some areas and sea waves to reach 6 – 10FT rising to 12 FT height at times. This The windy condition will continue till Friday, 06/07/2012
