Sales Application Engineer in Dohs
Hi all,
I recieved an offer for a job in Doha as a Sales Application Engineer (have 4 years of experience + 4 more years of similar work). I'm married with 1 year old child.
They offered me:
16,000QR per month, covering basic salary and housing allowance, split as follows respectively – 10,000 / 6,000.
+ other benefits like free car and petrol, free mobile phone, round trip ticket once a year, medical... + year bonus.
Also, a 6 months trial period after which my salary could be revised.
I'm confused since my colleague from Dubai says that I should recieve at least 20-25k plus benefits and my other friend from Doha says that this is a good offer.
Any comment would be usefull.

so ur oackage is 20,000qr if ...so ur oackage is 20,000qr if u calculate the free car, petrol & mobile cuz u wont be able to rent a car for less than 2,000qr a honda accord is 2600qr pcm & the phones are expensive to use services petrol is cheap tho .......so if ur a westerner thats a poor start, if u from asian country its GOOD, but only u can decide..........schools here for western kids start at around 40,000qr per year, so evaluate......and decide, good luck

Depends how much you are ...Depends how much you are earning now where you currently reside. Also if school is covered as school is very expensive. Research on school cost in Doha. Other living cost is not too bad.
