- Qatindo, near bus ...- Qatindo, near bus terminal
Used to frequent the place, but then i find it the place rather dirty and you can see people 'pee-ing' in the open (pardon the pun) out of the window while you are eating, so we stop going every since.
- Minang, Near Qatar Palace Hotel
Been there twice, their nasi goreng not very impressive (they used indian rice), but their 'ayam panggang' are yummy :D
- Central, I don't know what's the place name
Our second home, since i am bad cook, i take away alot from the place.
- Bakso Bu Tami, near Lulu Hyper
Always heard about this Bu Tami, but never try it at all. Dont ask me why

warung jakarta? ..."there is also Indonesian Rest in Dasman Centre near Toyota Tower."
---> i been there 2 or 3 times as well ... but we find it the service extraordinary slow ... probably the owner from 'Solo' despite he/she put the name Jakarta. Their 'gule kambing' is not as good as the one in Central Restaurant.
I havent been for ages though, no idea wether it is still open.

Central Restaurant ...It's not easy to describe the place. It's near Ras Abu Aboud flyover, then if you find a mosque, turn right. Keep going until you find the restaurant
You can go to the following link for details:

central restaurant direction ...
-----> If you come from the corniche towards Toyota Traffic Light, go straight under Ras Abou Aboud fly over. You will see a mosque and then after a blue building you turn right (there is a plant shop in the corner between that small road and C ring road). Go further down around 500 metres ... on your left hand side you will see big sign 'Central Restaurant' with white background.
Here is the restaurant number : 4371699

Indonesian community ...Are there Indonesian community centres in Doha? My Indonesian friend is looking to hook up with other Indonesians.
Do people from West Java speak Bahasa as their 1st language? Or, is there another language that many West Java people speak? Do Indonesians use Bahasa the same way that Phillipinos use Tagalog? That is, Taglog is a language that everyone speaks in the Phillpines but there are many local languages that people speak. I'm wondering if Bahasa in Indonesia is used in the same way.
cah_angon said
Yes we have... ...In west java ,we have so many kind local language ( sunda, sunda pandeglang,Java cirebonan, java banten, and also badui language)
If visit Indonesia you find so many culture,it's wondering indonesia
But bahasa is common language every body can speak bahasa.
Indonesia community just come to our Indonesia embassy,

Baedabook ... ...All Indonesian speaks bahasa. It is not the same with Tagalog, but very similar with Malaysian local language (bahasa melayu).
I came from Central Java and 'my people' speak differently with people from West Java or East Java. Other islands speak different than Java Islan d (the most populous island in the country). We have 12.000 + islands dotted across the archipelago.
I had a breakfast with 10 indonesian girlfriends this morning, one of my friend just been to INdonesian embassy. Apparently the latest data there are 25.000 plus indonesian in this country registered with the embassy. Thats including tha bachelor guys who works in the project, maid/s, and 'lady of leisure' like me.
