is this a good offer
I was just offered a job as Senior Fire Engineer with the NDIA project
salary 20,000 riyals
accommodation allowance 10,000 riyals
transportation 2,500 riyals
hardship 1040 riyals
I have previous experience working in Qatar in 2009
this seems low compared to other offers I have had.
when I spoke of these offers the reply was that they are oil and gas jobs and pay more, but this is a senior position and it seems low to me
the company also said things have changed.
so my question is this the going rate right now for this type of position
what is housing cost and transportation nowadays

well in my opinion this is a nice offer ..
transportation is really cheap in Qatar, and housing well you can get a villa for 10,000 Ryals.
I wish you luck and i don't think the offers nowadays are much higher, basically this is what senior positions are being paid these days.

what happened to 2 months on 1 onth off for overseas contracts
this seems like a lot to ask someone to be away from home
is this normal now or do they still offer more leave

I've seen staggered schedules ...I've seen staggered schedules for field work in oil and gas jobs but I'm not aware of that being offered in any other areas.

make up your mind dude, all ...make up your mind dude, all companies have their own terms regarding their employee compensation and that include paid leaves. discuss with them your concern and go straight to the point. if there seems a drawback, you can always walk out and leave.

what abt medical.... ...if insurance is provided this looks good offer but then it also depends on u r work experience and qualifications.
if you think this is low then dont join .... you can't change jobs in qatar
