You need to install Acrobat ...You need to install Acrobat Writer and then any new scanner will allow you to scan docs into pdf format.

Or get Photoshop ...Install either "Adobe Acrobat Professional" to scan2PDF directly from the program window, or just install photoshop->scan->save as PDF
Also keep in mind that when you scan the brochure, they're printed using something called "halftone" and when you scan them, they're really bad, so, to overcome this, in the scanner window, the one you chose the resolution and other stuff, you'll find a feature called "DESCREEN", activate that.
