Minister opens mosque in London

Minister opens mosque in London
HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ghaith bin Mubarak al-Kuwari yesterday inaugurated the “Founder” mosque in London.
The mosque is located next to the medical annex of Qatar’s embassy in central London and can accommodate up to 400 worshipers. It is built on an area of 250sq m and includes the Imam’s residence and another for the guard as well as vital facilities. The Minister, during his Friday sermon at the mosque, praised the gesture of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani who had donated the funds to build the mosque. The opening ceremony was attended by Qatar’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Khalid bin Rashid al-Mansouri.

Very nice of the Britishers ...Very nice of the Britishers to be so tolerant and allowing those of differing beliefs to be free from oppression. I guess they hope that tolerance can be reciprocated in the Gulf.

Good to see that in Dubai, ...Good to see that in Dubai, but I think there should be more places like this in the gulf. It is a diverse place, so let's hope the rulers allow more temples for the Jewish, more churches for the Christians. A Hindu temple in Qatar would be good also.
Freedom of worship is a universal human right and I would hate to see only the evil west preach this. Humanity is one people.

Moza ...You are a QATARI. if you personally talk to the Emir, probably they can be hopes on that. You should cry in front of Emir about religious places instead of crying in QL.
