A post actually relevant to Qatar!
Qatar's Rashid Al Athba is competing in Men's Trap event right now at the London Olympics. He is doing pretty well too having missed just one shot so far. Currently he is 8th in Qualifying. Hope he can make it to the finals to ensure I remain interested in this event if not for anything else.

Well, he finished 10th in ...Well, he finished 10th in Qualification and couldn't go through to the finals (Top 6 made their way through), some joy for the Arab world though with Kuwait getting a Bronze in this event.
Britexpat Bindra couldn't make it to the final of that event, India did get a Bronze though in 10M Air Rifle through Gagan Narang.

Men's 1500m was particularly ...Men's 1500m was particularly disappointing for Qatar with both their athletes stumbling in the final lap to concede huge ground in their individual heats. Could have had 2 finalists, now they have none.
