Visa Matter

Please I need your candid opinion and advice on the following issue. I have resulted to avoid in silence.
I entered Qatar precisely 10th June 2012 to work as senior Quantity Surveyor. This is my first time of leaving Europe to work in another country. Despite spending 2 months here, the company is yet to commence the process leading to the issuing of residence permit for me. I still carry the paper visa issued before I left UK. I am sure you will appreciate how this must have disrupted my plans.
The reason being given for this delay is that the company is trying to register a new company under a different name as an entity in Qatar different from their parent coy in Egypt, the basis of which the initial registration in Qatar was done. They said if they commence my residency stuff now, they will not be able to transfer my visa into the new company after registration. This response was given to me after many entreaties to know what was delaying the process.
The big issue now is that I planned to travel back to UK first week in September. This is an initial agreement I had with them when leaving UK that I will always take a break of 1-2 weeks after every 3 months to visit my family in UK. This is to be personally funded. Therefore, having in mind that an exit permit will be required from the employer whenever one is going out of the country, I wonder what my stand is since I have not even commenced the process that precedes the issuing of an ID card.
I will welcome a candid advice as said before. In addition, please feel free to send an email to me at tsalami73-at-yahoo.co.uk.

Regards

You do not need exit permit as long as you have not got your PR.

It is for sure that there is no requirement for exit permit in your case as u didnot get the RP. However, in order to come again here in Qatar, u should have multiple entry visa. Otherwise, ur employer needs to arrange another visa for ur re-entry in Qatar

Bros my advise is that you should be patient a bit. If it means postponing your trip to the UK, why not then? Just be calm as your RP will be processed. It's no big issue. Best of luck.
