Report: Two Qataris, one expat killed in ‘horrific’ road accident
Two nationals and one expat were killed last night after a “horrific” crash in Ras Laffan last night, Al Raya reports.
The accident occurred when one car tried to overtake another, and struck an oncoming vehicle in the process.
The ages of the Qatari victims were 24 and 29 years old; the expat was a 40-year-old from Indonesia, the report said.
The accident comes amid a renewed push by the government to get people to drive more safely and avoid reckless behavior on the road.
More than a dozen pedestrian- and road-related accidents have resulted in fatalities this year.

there ...was one more accident two days back a pakistani guy carryig 3 indian kids aged 14, 8 and 7. the car had and accident and only the 14 year boy was killed and the driver is in serious condition but the two small kids sitting behind are alive and in good health.

The govt has had a lot of ...The govt has had a lot of campaigns on safe driving in the last 5 years. They need to start taking away driving licences for long periods of time and if you get caught driver without a licence a short term of imprisonment. So many just ignore the rules here especially as the points are assigned to the car not the driver.
