Query : Dog lovers
Dear all,
I adopted a dog from a Qatari Lady and took the dog home. For weeks, the dog is fine at home - pampered very well. I love dogs. I treat him as my baby. However, one day I need to rush to a meeting in a hotel - so I dont have choice but to leave the dog alone at home. Main door was locked. When I arrived home, they said the dog was gone already. I am sure that one of my housemates let it go, maybe because he doesnt like dogs at all. Thus, no one is claiming responsible for this incident. We only have one suspect, and I personally believe that he really is the culprit.
I informed the Qatari lady few days after the incident because I need to rush to Dubai during the weekend. When I informed her, she was mad. I understand her, even I felt the same. Now she said that I will be responsible for the loss of the dog and she will do her best to put me in jail.
I did not plan any of this. I love the dog. I felt bad of what happened.
I already printed alot of flyers and distributed/posted in our area. I also posted in QAWS and Dogs in DOha page. I hope we still find the dog.
Any comments or recommendations?

I'm sorry for your loss and I know you must be scared of what the Qatari lady will do, but I think you need to go and report the missing dog to the Police. I don't know how much action they will take, but imho, that's the best you can do... and obviously put out flyers and have friends look out for it.

thanks ...thank you for the comment. I already printed out flyers and started to know on flats one by one. still i havent seen any trace of the dog. :(

Sorry for your lost dog. ...Sorry for your lost dog. Maybe you should post a picture of your dog in QL. Also post the area where you live so that QLers might keep an eye out for your dog. Maybe check with the vets nearby your place to see if someone handed in your dog to them.

Well on Facebook - go to the Qatar Veterinary Surgery's page and have a look at a dog that was found and rehomed yesterday.
I thought it looked familiar, but thought yours went missing yesterday, NOT a few days ago.
Please go and look there.
I will post this on their page and see if someone see it.

Don't allow the lady to bully you, as mistakes happen, however, this is exactly why when we at QAWS adopt dogs out we interview EVERYONE that lives in the house/flat, and if one person isn't happy, we don't adopt the animal out.

Wilken, I do not want to ...Wilken, I do not want to alarm you but maybe you should check the manholes near your house. One recent incident in Malaysia, the dogsitter pushed the dog into a manhole for fun and left it there. Just saying check manholes or any place where the dog could have fallen into or through and cannot find its way out again. Hoping real hard that it is not so.

thanks ...last night one person said that he saw the dog being taken cared of by a british lady. maybe that lady found him walking around the area. that's why i tried to walk around and ask people from other buildings and posted a picture near their elevator.
I hope someone will call me regarding the dog.

update ...we went to the place - horizon building(basement) in c-ring road but the dog is not there - we roam around the area and checked every parking/basement, no sign of Uno. We spoke with a lot of people around the area but still we dont have any luck.
I hope someone will see him and contact us.

update ...Still the dog hasnt been found yet. We also posted the photo on different FB pages so that other dog lovers will be aware. We hope that he's safe.
Please keep us informed if you see any trace of him.
