Phone Scams from Area Code +923 (Tajikistan)
I have recently recieved a phone call from a guy in Tajikistan who i didn't understand crap from.
I've searched the internet and found out that they are part of a scamming process which includes identity theft. I just wanted to warn people who still don't know about this.

as a general rule i never answer calls from numbers i don't know anyway (regardless if local or not).

Missed call and job application on Alluaejobs.com ...I sent my resume out to a place in Wales that supposedly needed workers. Since then, I've found it to be a scam. They had just sent me paperwork asking for my passport number and badly worded English (strange for Wales, no?) Anyways, this morning, 923024334057 called me for about, oh, 2 seconds.

I closed the line with a lot of question marks … I went through Google to check this code number
And I shocked when I found a lot of posts about this subject
Anyway the question here what would happen if we called or answered those numbers

Missed call ...Same incident that was happen to me just this morning 12 Jan 2011.. Do you think guys it is a scam or simply a network problem with international circuit communication.
Now a days most of the people are using an internet calls which is much cheaper than the legal network carrier. In short, the international exchange circuit for communication are congested and their calls was diverted to any dialing code..
My worry is this, why it is coming mostly from the same country code. Maybe your right guys..

This is a scam number. Don't ever call back if you get a call or miss call from +923xxxxxxxxx
They want to do something with you. I just called them as Terrorist.
Don't give any response to them.

June 2012 ...I just received a missed call (2 second ring tone) from 00923 472 64921. I have recently changed my mobile number and as yet haven't given it out to anybody. Either my number is a recirculated number that has previously been in service and therefore in the hands of the scammers, or else they are just chancers dialling random numbers here in Qatar. It is not the first time I have had missed calls from 00923 numbers lately but I never answer to see what the scam is. It is June 2012 and they are still active. Please don't fall for answering them.

the 00923 phone scam is still active. I received a missed call from this number 00923068903278 today. I phoned the number back but the person who answered, said nothing sensible, he was mumbling. Anyway, please be CAREFUL. x
