I left my children with my wife in Sydney. If you didn't get full education allowrance there is no point to bring your family here. It is also what is your salary and other benefit as well. A lot of American and British education systems are available but very expensive. I didn't see any Australian Education system at primary and high school level.

You need more information, ask me in private. I can give you more information.

Most Aussies put them in British Schools.

I have put my kids in the british system on and off over the last few years with our moves. It is the closest to the Aussie system, which also varies from each state.
You can consider the schools that offer the IB curriculum. Depending on how long you intend to stay. I know alot of private schools in australia have started to offer the IB so your kids can slot back in if you return. My thought is as long as they are learning and happy you're on to a good thing. Kids are pretty adaptable. This is the 5th move for my kids and they are only 12 and 14yrs.My kids have just stared at Park House and we are very happy so far. My second choice would have been Doha College. I hope this helps

on the subject of school, I have 2 kids and both are ebrolled in International School of London and I am extremely happy with them there. My daughter left aust half way through her grade 1 year and started grade 2 in sept here and has never had a problem. Another major problem is placement as schools are full so that could be a deciding factor whether to come, some have resorted to home schooling, explore that as well as whether your company will pay for schools and how much, some pay all some a percentage.

As for suburbs, depends on where you are working and where your child(s) go to school. Some parents drive up to 3hours a day round trip for schooling and traffic here is a.....well, I look at it as a challenge! If you can, ask for housing to be provided as it can save alot of headaches with dodgy deals, middle men and trying to get out of leases.

PM if this raises more questions than answers :)

Waiting lists are varied....can be weeks, months and even years in some cases as it depends on how old your kids are and which schools you are interested in. Some school will not even take your name onto a waiting list! Suggest you contact your school of choice asap.
Sorry, don't have an opinion on QIS or Park house....suggest you search this site and see if others have commented.
