Hello all,

Thank you to those who have responded to our call for a meeting. I have now only 6 confirmed for July 18th. I would appreciate it greatly if more would respond. I understand it is the summer holiday time and a lot of you cannot make it for July... anyhow I will wait till Sunday to see the outcome.

our idea!

Hello all art enthusiasts - I have recieved a lot of support for mallrat's idea of getting to know each other as a group and getting to know our interests, hobbies, careers and art directions.

Now we need suggestions for:

The venue & best time for all- to host at least 15 people.
The Agenda: I suggest we meet to get to know each other as well as to exhibit our work and interests for those who have something to share.

As for catering - we can agree each to bring something for the firt meet.

We have a musicians on board.... this can be a great event - please all pitch in with your ideas and suggestions.

Art Gallery in the souqs

Today i went to the souqs and found a new gallery, even been small and with actually stores inside for a few minutes it was refreshing, is just starting so i hope this become a interesting place

Poetry Night in Doha

Let's sit down for a cup of coffee and poetry. I strongly encourage those who have original poems to share their works and to enjoy a night of poetry reading. For those who do no write poetry but are interested to listen and/or read poems by your favorite authors you are also most welcome to join!

hello again,

I drove by the new development that is now in Ras abu Aboud - where the Doha club used to be-- it looks just fantastic -the architecture is very attractive. I wonder about the interiors. Has anyone been inside and do you have pictures to share? Also the old Souk area - I hear there a a lot of nice restaurants there - are there any with distinct design that you have seen. Please share. Perhaps we can all meet there...

exhibitions?

I used to see some years ago nice exhibitions in Al-Bida park , city center -here and there in Qatar .Nowadays I do not see any .Can you tell me why ?
I am an amateur artist interested in applied arts ,abstract ,photo ,art-nouveau .
