British Schools close to Qatar Foundation

Hello
We'll soon be moving to Qatar. My kids (Primary) currently go a British School in Abu Dhabi, I'll want to get them into a similar carriculum school in Qatar.
Question is, Which schools are closest to Qatar Foundation ?
Thanks all

HI - you might want to post ...HI - you might want to post the same question in the Social forum as school questions tend to get answered there.
no experience except husband is teacher - he teaches at Parkhouse, good school following english curriculum, like all schools they are full up - I think... not really my place to say...
Good luck

British Schools close to Qatar Foundation ...The closest school under the British Curriculum with British qualified teachers is Doha English Speaking School. I hear there are long waiting lists but maybe not for the years you need. There is also Doha College but that is further away and then Park House which is even further away. Hope that this helps.

Yes - DESS (Doha English ...Yes - DESS (Doha English Speaking School) would be the closest. British passports have priority and there is a waitlist. Very good school from what I hear.

Qatar Foundation at ...Qatar Foundation at Education City?
Compass is closer than DESS, just off Slope round-about at Gharrafa - British management, UK schemes for English and Maths, and International Primary Curriculum for the rest. www.cisdoha.org.

Squarepeg is right there is ...Squarepeg is right there is Qatar Academy in Education City but I don't think it's strictly "British" curriculum?

Thanks all ...Here's what I found out, there are minimal chances of getting places in DESS simply because they are full and give priority to Brits, we're Ozzies.
Montesorri is pretty full but possibilities may be available.
Compass I don;t know much about but heard its very very very expensive:(
Don't know much the Gulf English school, their web site looks primitive. Is it really any good ???

Newton International School ...Maybe you could give N.I.S. a try. There are two branches, one at West Way and one at D Ring Road (Mamoura).
