I am a Moroccan from Casablanca. I am living in Doha for the last 7 years. I didn't left Doha for 7 years. it's crazy i know but every time i wanted to take a vacation to visit home; i had something urgent which made me postpone my travel.

Finaly i am going there next month on my way to USA. so i don't know because everyone tells me that everything has been changed. well i will see it by my eyes but Morocco will be forever Moroccco.

For the new moroccans who just board in Doha. please dont hesitate to ask for any help. i will be glade to provide such help. i spend the 7 years helping other nationalities and it's time to start helping my compatriotes.

I am not a Moroccan but we are planing to have a trip over there.

To be honest with you first time that i heard such thing. Here in Qatar there is no Casawi, Rbati, Fasi, Marrakshi. there is only one thing Maghribi and Maghribiya. that's all.

I think your friend is not a pure Casawiya.

More then that i don't know how it looks like now. 7 years it's a long time but you have just to like the country. for the people who just came for the last 2 or 3 years; i think they are very lucky because they didn't lived here in the 2000 or even up to 2003.

I m looking forward to see all of you and please don't hesitate to ask for any help or any information regarding the living here in Qatar.

Frog, jeudi for an afternoon thé at Tajine sounds perfect.

WaRider, the non smoking area in Costa is toooooo small...if you don't like Tajine we can go to le Gourmet(waqif souk), they have a beautiful salon de thé/caféf upstairs and we can enjoy the weather without getting cold....they serve chocolat and arabic sweets too....

Joudia, as a muslim, I don't like to go to places where they serve alchool...

you know that the advantage of living in a muslim country like qatar is that you can go to very nice places/5* hotels/restaurants) Bla D'noub (we are muslims and the text regarding alchool is clear: don't drink it, don't carry it.....)

for Valentine's I'll suggest the Movenpick towers & suits (they have an chineese/thai/vietnamien restaurant) or the Grand regency (moroccan restaurant with live band playing Moroccan songs)

I heard that a Moroccan's gathering took a place on Friday at Tangia!!!!

je suis allee promener le petit et suis passee par Grand Regency pour un tea et on m'a dit que Vendredi un groupe de 26 Marocains se sont rencontres a Tangia (ils ne se connaissaient pas mais se sont rencontre sur le net) bref, makayin ghir cha3bi, o chtih (propos de la hostess)

il a raison et je confrime le mot par mettre notre vie en satndby lol....mais il faut essayer de positiver car en de compte notre bonheur est en nous et dans nos tete, il suffit d'un rien pour etre heureux pour les gens qui en sachent la valeurs des choses, pas comme ceux qui comme (3azak allah) l'ane on lui a donner une fleur il l'a mangé.....lol

ben je suis tres content pour ton retour aux sources comme tu vas te faire recharger les batteries afin de pouvoir tenir le souffle ici a doha, car ici une assistance supplementaire est necessaire lol....bien! en sais jamais on se rencontrera la bas autour d'un bon baqradj de the...;d
