Spouse VISA

Hello Everybody,
I was searching the forum but could not get a concrete answer to my question. I have recently received the job offer and the VISA from my employer in DOHA. I am in India at the moment and need to relocate to DOHA in a month. However, the employer hasn't provided any VISA for my wife. They have advised me to apply for residence VISA after reaching QATAR then apply for my wife's VISA under my sponsorship after getting the residence visa. Please can you answer to below queries? It would be of great help.
1. Is it the normal process being followed?
2. Does it take 2 weeks to process the residence visa?
3. Does it take 2 to 4 days to process the spouse visa under husband's sponsorship?
4. What all documents would I need to submit in Doha for applying for my wife's visa under my sponsorship?
5. Will all these documents need to be translated to arabic and signed by qatar embassy in India?
Thanks

1. it is basically the only ...1. it is basically the only procedure: you arrive to Doha, you get your RP first, then you apply for your wife's visa and then for her RP.
2. hey, sometimes it might take 3 months...speed process can be done in 1 week. All depends on your company and the PRO of the Company, which are usually always busy/lazy...etc.
3. First, you have to be qualified to take your wife under your sponsorship. Certain conditions are applied. Also your visa must have a family status in order to be able to sponsor your wife. If BOTH conditions meet the requirements you can submit the application for the sponsorship.. would it take 2 to 4 days? …again, could be, could be not.. all depends...she might even get rejected.. not 100% of applications get positive result.. not at all...
4. you will need her passport copy and your guys marriage certificate copy.

Thanks Qatarisun and ...Thanks Qatarisun and bujasim. My salary is 10k+. So, salary should not be a constraint I suppose. But, Qatarisun has mentioned that the visa has to have family status. Well, the visa that I have received from my employer hasn't got a family status. Is it the residence visa that I'll apply after reaching Qatar has to have family status? In that case what is the norms to follow to have the visa with family status? Appreciate your guidance in this regard.
Thanks

DBS, what you have got from ...DBS, what you have got from your employer now is a work visa, which allows you to enter Qatar and to WORK in Qatar. Now, based on this work visa, a Residence Permit (RP) should be issued, which allows you to LIVE in qatar.
And the status of this RP should allow you in the future to bring your family in. You have to discuss a matter of bringing your wife in Qatar with your employee. Because anyway, when you will apply for your wife's visa, the first thing you have to prepare is No Objection Certificate (NOC letter) from your Comapny stating that they don't mind you to bring your wife in Qatar. So better discuss it with them and make sure that the status of your visa will allow you in the future to do so.

Thanks a bunch Qatarisun! It ...Thanks a bunch Qatarisun!
It is quite clear to me now. I'll get the NOC from my employer after reaching Qatar. Then I'll submit the NOC letter along with other documents with my RP application to make it Family type. After getting the RP with family status I'll apply for my wife's visa.
Thanks

I understand that the marriage certificate has to be attested by HRD and the QATAR embassy. Please can you answer my following queries?
1. Does the original or the photocopy of the marriage certificate needs to be attested from Qatar embassy?
2. Do I need to get my Degree certificate attested as well from Home ministry and Qatar embassy for applying RP?
Thanks
