I like making the Qatari drivers mad
When I'm driving and a Qatari guy is behind in his Landcruiser flashing his lights, I refuse to move to the right. He can get mad all he wants but we are going to share the road. If he wants to get around, go to the right and pass me. Sometimes when he does merge to the right, I will speed up so he cant get in front of me. In the US, we dont play that flashing the lights crap. Come to Detroit or Houston and you have another thing coming if you flash your lights. You Qatari drivers dont scare me and you dont own the road! Screw that. Im staying in the far left lane and Im not moving.

I use to give space for ...I use to give space for others to pass when they are above my speed + i have no car on my right (which is in this case middle track) and when am sure that am not either causing or getting trouble while steering to middle.Thats all simple ,peaceful , let others to understand the unique way of safe driving , no need to block any one unnecessary unless someone got outlaw thats all.

I think it is a fair point ...I think it is a fair point if the middle lane is clogged up and you, in the fast lane, are actually moving faster than them.
I don't see the need to slow down and move over when some Arab or other person is being impatient behind you.
But if the middle lane is clear, then you are actually in the wrong and as such are no better than the person behind you flashing their lights.

I make sure I got rammed by one after my car had been scratched and needed new paint.
Here is the strategy
- Drive 30 - 50 (low impact)
- Preferably near round-about
- Wait until you have an idiot on your bumper
- Hit the breaks
- Have a camera to take pics straight away.

I flash my lights as well, when some person is in the passing lane going 20 km below speed limit...most of them move..those that don't, I pass on the right.

The problem is that most drivers got their drivers license with a loaf of bread and milk at the carrefour.
I actually noticed in Sri Lanka, Philippines, India and such that maybe the problem here is not the ones that KNOW and adhere to the rules. In Western Europe we drive almost impeccable and adhere to all guidelines, at least most of us. To get a drivers license is a huge pain in the ass and costs a fortune, no less than QR 10.000, plus it takes minimum half a year. Not to mention the theory-exams which are mighty difficult as half of the questions are nasty trick-question, not one "which sign is this", and if you have 6 out of 50 wrong... FAIL.
Now, in Asian countries I noticed that organized chaos seems to work the best. Everybody drives so chaotic that everybody is extremely sharp.
So here, as western Europeans, because of sticking to the rules and taking round-abouts properly .... we confuse Chaos which leads to accidents.
How is that for a theory?

well ours takes ...half a year as well...between the theory and the driving classes. Same thing with the failure of the theory tests...they can be tough if you don't study and learn the material.
Sometimes I think following the road rules here cause more accidents than stop them...
My favorite is the "drifters"..those that start out in the right hand lane, drift over into the middle and then left lane of the round-abouts, no signal and squish the person already IN the inside lane, into the curb...never noticing that anyone was already in that position...

If I am in the left lane and going over the speed limit already ...(which I must confess to doing occasionally -- lol) then I often lift my foot from the accelerator so they will go around. It really depends on my mood and if they tailgate me or not. But I never would speed up to keep them from going around me as that would be too risky :-)
