Price of Eye test for contact lenses?
I'm in the UK on holiday at the moment and not sure if to get my eye test done here or back in Qatar.
Can someone please advise how much it costs to have your eyes tested for contact lenses use and which is the best place ot go to?

lima ... if you buy your ...lima ... if you buy your contact lenses / glasses from the same shops they dont normally charge you. It is the same in Singapore / Malaysia / Indonesia. My husband bought 2 glasses from the optician outside lulu hypermarket. I never bought any contact lenses in Qatar because i always stock up when i go back home in Indonesia.
I really surprise when i found out that you have to pay in the UK.

Thanks Novita, ...They dont charge you if you're on a monthly plan. My plan worked out around £12 (84QR) per month. But as they could'nt post them to Qatar, I had to cancel it. Now if I have a test in the UK, the cheapest I have found in £20.
I think I will buy some over in Qatar when I come back next week and get my eyes re-tested.

lima ...johnsons monthly contact lenses cost 50QR per pair.
no charge if ur gonna buy contact lens/ spects from the optical center where u had ur eye test.

Huh Novita ...i was just telling her the price i paid once now i dont know how much it costs. but i prefer she test them there in UK.

Lima, I guess if your hand ...Lima, I guess if your hand over your glasses to the salesman he will give you the correct lens. They can get the number from your glasses. Unless ofcourse you would like to get your eyes tested again.

Looks like I will get the test back in Qatar, when I buy new lenses.

Go to Qatar Optics in City ...Go to Qatar Optics in City Center .they have more branches in Qatar...free eye test...
