Resignation???
Kabayan... ask ko lang kung anung mangyayari sa akin kung mag resign ako at umuwi na ng pinas? Pissed off na ako sa amo ko! Direct hire ako sa pinas! Sa contract ko nakalagay na after ung probation period of three (3) months any of the parties may terminate the contract. Ika-6 months ko na this Jan 19. Kung ako magterminate ng contract through resignation, anu-ano ang mga consequences bukod sa ban ako sa Qatar for two (2) years. Meron ba akong babayaran? I have the computation of expenses I incurred papunta dito, POEA Fee, Medical, Visa Authentication and Plane Ticket wala lang ako ung mga expenses in related securing my working visa. Magkano kaya ang ginastos nila sa visa ko? Gusto ko ng umuwi ng pinas this april for my sister's wedding! Nagpaalam ako sa boss ko at ang sabi pag iisipan niya pa daw? Pede ba un?

bro ...dito sa co. namin pag nag resign ka after nung probation period mo at di mo tinapus ang kontrata. babayaran mo lahat ng ginastus ng company pagkuha sayo. cost ng ticket, cost ng visa, placement fee at ikaw din magbabayad ng ticket mo pauwi + banned ka na sa qatar ng 2 yrs. pero may instances din na walang binayaran yung iba tulad ng may mga emergency issues na dahilan na pwede mong i-justify sa employer (i.e. health/death etc. etc.)

Usually babayaran mo yung ...Usually babayaran mo yung tinatawag na "moving in expenses" na usually sa mga companies ay written off after 2 years.
Yung iba pro-rated ang bayaran. (ex. 75% after 6 mths stay, 50% kung naka 1 year ka... and so forth). Depende sa contract.
Usually di din nagpapabakasyon until maka one year ka sa company. Kasi nga baka di ka na bumalik. Yung iba pa nga after 2 years. Depende sa contract yun.
Banned ka sa Qatar for 2 years kung mag-abscond ka.

Think of the time , the effort, money, that you have spent in coming here, hindi masarap umuwi ng alang pera, bawat isa naghihintay sa mga ibibida mo, anong ibibida mo sa atin ang bad experience mo dito? I doubt if you didn't hear such bad stories bago ka pumunta dito, but still you came to work. Sa totoo lang, ang mga taong may tiyaga, daig ang marunong. Wag pakunsume, sila ang kunsumehin mo, para mapauwi ka ng free. But think again, kung napagtiyagaan mo na ng 6months, tapusin mo na, makaipon ka manlang ng panalubong, Good luck...

If there's any other reason aside harassment of some sort, pls.consider your effort why you came here. Remember to learn from them(other nationalities) the art of 'patience'.I supposed most of us been thru that too. Of course, it's easier said than done, but unless your boss harassed you (physically), there's no point to decide for resignation instantly. Six months is nothing...try to look for some alternatives. Immigration been so strict now of these visa issues. We're just hoping the authority will ratify a new sponshorship law so that we could breath a little better,somehow.:)

KARIN - pde bang mag sick leave ng wlang medical certificate? About my contract INDEFINITE DURATION and According to Article 49 of Qatar Labor Law:
If the service contract is of an indefinite duration any of the two parties thereto may terminate it without giving the reasons for the termination. In this case the party intending to terminate the contract shall notify the other party in writing as follows:¬
1. In respect of the workers who receive their wages annually or monthly, the notification shall be given not less than one month prior to the date of the termination. If the period of service is five years or less. If the period of service is more than five years, the notification period shall be at least two months prior to the date of termination.
I will start a forum to ask some clarification on this.

unang dating ko d2 ...nilagay ako sa camp (industrial area) dahil di pa prepared ang employer ko. gusto ko na kaagad umuwi nuon dahil nakakaawa ang sitwasyun ko nuon kasama ang mga laborer duon. promise nila pansamantala lang daw hangang naging pansamantagal (umabot ng 1 year) yung pagtitiis ko duon. pero nagbunga naman yung pagtitiis. after 1 year binigay din nila yung pangako na sariling flat para sakin at nakuha ko pa buong pamilya ko. Ganuon talaga sa umpisa, napakihap! But bro the Pinoys are built for this, sanay tayo sa hirap, kayang kaya mo yan!

Mas gusto ko pa na may pasok dahil nauubos yung oras sa dami ng trabaho. pag friday nakakabagot. wala pang bus nuon kaya di ako makaalis sa camp. ang pasyalan ko yung tindahan ng mga itik at fish market sa abu hamour. akalain mo naka survive ako sa ganun life style (compared sa makati na every friday night nasa clubbing). and morethan 3 yrs na me now sa Doha and looking forward to stay a few more years and save some.

Halos lahat ng entrada from abu hamour to abu Nakla to salwa I can guide you even my eyes are closed. Paborito ko yang lugar na yan dahil maraming may sakit at nagsasakit sakitan dyan, hehe. That area was my training ground.

its sad... ...Leaving a job is not about money but its also a complete waste of our time. Sayang naman yung na-ubos na panahon na sana mas na-buhos para ma-devleop ang career natin. When you said "pissed-off", did you meant on a personal or professional level? Have you discussed your working relationship & related issues with your boss?
Resignation is not always the answer to our job hiccups... sometimes we have to really manage the situation & come up with a win-win situation.
I onced worked for a company (family-owned) that felt like hell where the management can really test your spirits. But somehow, natuto akong makisama at makibagay sa sitwasyon to my advantage... This is a unique skill that we have to practice. Hindi yung parati na lang tayo magtampo sa sitwasyon... I know some employers are really difficult... but they all have their weak spot.

"Qatar Labor Law" advantage para satin pag alam natin ang batas. para hindi sila makapag take advantage satin. The New domestic law is on its way. diko lng sure kung lalabas na sya before August.
If you like to resign. i sakto mo sa expiration ng working visa mo. parang 1 yr na rin kum baga. para wala ka bayaran. Alamin mu yung rights mo para kya mo i justify ang pag alis mo sa company. minsan kc akala nila d natin alam ang karapatan natin kya nila tyo inaapi.
pero pag nalaman nila na alam mo ang batas. matatakot sila gumawa ng d maganda sau.
