FRIED CHICKEN RECORD
FRIED CHICKEN RECORD: Qatar Food Company (Americana Group), the franchisee owner of KFC, set a record for the largest serving of fried chicken at the Villagio Mall yesterday.
An adjudicator of the Guinness World Records presented a certificate to the company’s officials, shortly after a giant basket was filled with 300kg of fried chicken. Picture shows the basket being filled before weighing it.

Dear Sir,
Just when you thought you had seen it all, a fried chicken order makes its way into the record books. Who’s next?
I’ll tell you who’s next. The one who is really reaching record levels is the overweight population, as well as those suffering from the ailments associated with poor nutrition. We have seen in the last decades how intentionally we’ve been trimming our food. We have gone from not-getting-enough-bran-in-our-diet trend in the 80’s, through the fat-free craze in the 90’s, to welcome a new millennium with hardly any carbs to subsist on.
We must pay a price if we want to maintain a healthy lifestyle these days. Anything with the labels “low†or “organic†is more expensive than a box of dozen donuts.
