Finally, 3D Cinema Screen opens in Qatar!
Yes its finally here in Doha!
Now you can enjoy watching new movies in 3D with all the thrill that comes with that!
About a year ago, We read about an IMax 3D screen that will open in Villagio but nothing showed till now.
Yesterday my friend told me that they opened one 1/10/2009 in Citycenter Mall. At first I didn't believe him but when I went there it was displayed in the screen:
"Final destination - 3D" so u have 2 options either to watch in 2d or in 3D.
The 3D screen will cost you QR 45! yea its kinda expensive but it deserve that price since there is few things to spend your money on Doha to entertain yourself on weekends!
and even thougt it costs QR 45 yesterday all the 3D shows for this movie was booked hours before, so sadly I couldn't attended it yesterday so I will go today to try it and will give you my opinion after am back!
If any of you have experienced the Imax 3D cinemas please tell as about it.

3-D is so fun :-P ...There are new technologies that are in development which will allow you to have 3-D viewing in regular cinemas (which is what I think they are using in the CC with this film) and eventually will be market for home use. There is even a technology which will allow you "on the field" 3-D viewing in sporting events that was marketed at MEIFF last year. I attended one of the sessions and it allowed me to watch then match as if I am playing with the defenders. A bit freaky for me but a HUGE hit for sports PPV venues.

i watch it at home ...I watch 3D movies at home :-). i got this Blue ray disc of Polar Express and with the red/Blue glass, the 3D effect is real at Home..

I heard about this so called ...I heard about this so called cinema for at least 2 years. Would really help relieve the congestion in the CC cinema. Unfortunately it doesn't look like villagio has developed that space as of yet - although I'd love to be proved wrong.

/-a-t-/villagejoker: Yea I saw FD last weekend and for those who experience 3d for the 1st time they will be shocked by how cool and exciting it is! I jumped out of my seat many time during the movie cause when someone throw something u feel that its heading right to ur eyes so ur body automatically moves! however the movie itself was a bit cheesy and the acting wasn't great! the first FD was way deeper! 3D saved FD 4!

I think CC knew that ...I think CC knew that Villggio is gonna open thier IMax soon so they opened their 3D cinema too to keep the audiance but villaggio has the advantage of having enough parkings!
