American Hospital
So I went to the American hospital earlier in the day and saw a doctor. I forgot to get a sick slip from them and I called back and asked if I can come back and get one to which they answerd yes.
SO I get there and guess what they say they cant give me.... The sick slip I called and asked about. Is it me or is it ok to be a bit irritated (to say the least).
A buddy of mine always says you pay peanuts and you get monkeys, I am still wondering why this clown told me to drive all the way out there. Sigh

Yea. I wouldn't have minded ...Yea. I wouldn't have minded so much if I hadn't called first, they told me no problem come get it. Then I get there and no one would give it to me. It was very annoying.

they mainly hiring filipina ...they mainly hiring filipina and indian staffs. My experience in that hospital 7 yrs ago wasnt great either.
when i delivered my son ... there were some middle eastern european nurses with rather colour full nails, 2 colour lipsticks and fake eye lashes. They hand my baby in during feeding ... and the smell of her perfume all stucks to my baby. Yucky !!!

They cannot give you a "Sick Certificate"? Why? What is their reason for not issuing it? May be only Hamad can issue it? Would they have issued it if you requested it before leaving?
Usually all hospitals keep a record (digital or hard copy) of the patients, the doctor which they attended & the illness for which they were treated.
What they did is unfair.

American hospital is not managed by Americans. thats why no Americans . its a share holding co.I know very well about the service .very bad. they won't let any efficient staff to work there.

I used to go there. One ...I used to go there. One time I was told to come and collect my pathology results. So I drove all the way there, and was told they weren't ready.
I haven't been back there, or to any other medical facility in Doha. They all look crap to me.

years back one American laid ...years back one American laid stone for the hospital and got the name"American Hospital. doctors are not qualified and experienced. they employ white coloured doctors to attract Americans. .staffs get salary very late. there are physician working with out medical licence.the medical director is not bothered at all.

Some of the departments of ...Some of the departments of this hospital used to be alright but as of late they are complete crap. It is an "American" hospital and their pediatrician doesnt speak english. All of their decent Drs. have abadoned ship.
Abu I bet they were trying to get you to make another visit to the Dr. They did that to another American guy when I was there and he freaked out.

If I know earlier, I would have advised NOVI to go to AMWAL hospital in the HMC, which is better than the
so-called American hospital

Birdie I am no newcomer :) ...Birdie I am no newcomer :) been here sionce the dawn of time, but understand some people are so desperate for decent medical care they try every hospital in Doha. What some peopple find good others find to be crap.
The most consistency I have had in all my years here is good ole Hamad.

With some of the ...With some of the anti-American sentiment that has been offered on QL I'm sort of amused to see that people aren't happy with the American Hospital becasue it isn't "American" enough.

They have chosen to use ...They have chosen to use "American Hospital" to attact people specially western to go there.
Its advertising your services with the use of "american" people will have the instant impression that they have fast, reliable and state of the art services.
But in this case, it doesnt speak the name...
