Women whipped for wearing ____________??
Where in the Q’ran does it proclaim it is haram for women to wear pants? Or bra? Or burqas? In fact, where in the Q’ran does it forbid half the things modern-day Islamic fundamentalists force on women? Yet, the hard-line Islamic fundamentalists are hell-bent on establishing man-made religious laws that oppress and dehumanize women.
A hardline Islamist group in Somalia has begun publicly whipping women for wearing bras that they claim violate Islam as they are 'deceptive'.
The insurgent group Al Shabaab has sent gunmen into the streets of Mogadishu to round up any women who appear to have a firm bust, residents claimed yesterday.
The women are then inspected to see if the firmness is natural, or if it is the result of wearing a bra.
If they are found wearing a bra, they are ordered to remove it and shake their breasts, residents said.
Al Shabaab, which seeks to impose a strict interpretation of Sharia law over all Somalia, also amputated a foot and a hand each from two young men accused of robbery earlier this month.
They have also banned movies, musical ringtones, dancing at wedding ceremonies and playing or watching soccer.
'Al Shabaab forced us to wear their type of full veil and now they order us to shake our breasts,' a resident, Halima, told Reuters, adding that her daughters had been whipped on Thursday.
'They are now saying that breasts should be firm naturally, or just flat.'
Officials of Al Shabaab, which Washington says is Al Qaeda's proxy in the failed Horn of Africa state, declined to comment.
The group's hardline interpretation of Islamic law has shocked many Somalis, who are traditionally moderate Muslims. Some residents, however, give the insurgents credit for restoring order to the regions under their control.
Al Shabaab, which means 'youth' in Arabic, control large swathes of south and central Somalia.
Abdullahi Hussein, a student in north Mogadishu, said his elder brother was thrown behind bars when he fought back a man who humiliated their sister by asking her to remove her bra.
'My brother was jailed after he wrestled with a man that had beaten my sister and forced her to remove her bra. He could not stand it,' Hussein said.
Men were not spared the' moral cleansing'. Any man caught without a beard was been publicly whipped.
'I was beaten and my hair was cut off with a pair of scissors in the street,' Hussein said.
'My trouser was also cut up to the knee. They accused me of shaving my beard but I am only 18.
'They have arrested dozens of men and women. You just find yourself being whipped by a masked man as soon as leave your house.'

This happens in all religions and all societies. For instance in India, some hindu hardliners have been policing parks and malls looking for dating couples.
Some orthodox jews take exception at people doing chores on the Sabbath etc.
The same is true for these Muslims.
They , like the others are a minority. It is up to the majority to stand up to them.

we dont have to look far to Mogadishuu where people are suffering from years of internal conflict and instability arising from it just look in India at the fundamentle organizations like Shive sena who pray to "riffles" .The frenzy of fanatic hindus attacking Babri Mosque.The masscure of innocent people in Gujrat.
Few days ago I was watching a documentry on BBC about a girl child born to low caste hindus with two faces .The childs father wanted to go the local temple to pray for strength and well being of his child and the temple priest refused admission to him in the temple . He refused him the spiritual healing he needed in his time of need .Eventually the child died of complications but I could not belive it when that dim stick priest refused to perform last rites.............( All this recorded by BBC ).
In this age and time I can understand fanatics and people who use religon to pursue their political ambitions but Only in India in Main stream religion house of spirtual well being is banned to some of the followers of that religon .
What is the fault of these poor people that they are denied the spiritual consolation which most of us take as granted .
The people of Somalia , India all have to work against these bigots extremist and fanatics they only work on the fear of ordinary people they need to get united and fight such dogmas

Islam does not belong to these people, Islam belongs to the people who do not cheat, who take care of each other, who gives you a nice smile when he see you, who has clean heart, who do not harm you by any mean, who tells you the right thing to do, who gives you good advice, who tells you to be good to your parents, friends, relatives.
Islam tells you to be open minded and take what is suitable for you.
Islam tells you that the right for learning is for every one.
Islam tells to stay from what harms your health.
Islam tells you to do what makes the community live peacefully.
Islam tells you that if your friend gave you something while he is away to maintain safely and give it back to him when he rturns.
Islam tells if you found a stone in the street to remove it because this stone may hurt others.
Islam tells you enjoy your life safely and learn what is good for you.
All the above should be in accordance with the Islam values, what I have mintioned is 1 % or less of the good values which Islam teaches us.
