4 days before leaving!!!!!
I've just realised that I'm leaving in four days!!!! Four days , and so many things to do and so many things to pack . I wonder how people here behave and what they usually do before leaving . I'm just curious to know , maybe I could pick some good ideas :)

Frog__ - as you are going ...As yuo are going home perhaps you don't need so many things in your suitcase but perhaps you have a lot of presents as most people do when they go on vacation to their home countries.
Myself I always take an empty case because I bring back a great many things I can't find here otherwise I have a list for just going on vacation. I star like this:
Underwear
Socks
Shirts
Tshirs
trousers/skkirts
pullovers (if needed)
jackets
shoes
toilet articles
brush and comb
I have all these already packed in plastic bags so I have no bother to find and pack them only to choose the colours I want to take with me.

the plastic bags idea is great :) thx . I'll start to pack today. My God I have plenty of things to wash lol btw , do you clean your house before leaving or u prefer to leave it till u come back ? :d

Frog__ I do ...Actually I do the necessary before I go but clean when I come home because too much dust enters through A/C thank goodness I have help at home again to clean as many things I just can't do myself anymore.
I put all my clothes seperately in plastic bags it is a kind of phobie but very practical as no dust gets inside the bags although it gets inside the cupboards, things are organised to colours etc. Once this is done in the beginning it is very easy to keep. So when I pack a case I lay it all out on the bed and pack accordingly.

froggy... ...If I have some things to do before leaving, I put them on the list and make schedule for the next few days in order to finish everything without missing something important.
...usually I start preparing the stuff that I take with me few days in advance. I sort out if some laundry/dry cleaning needed…I usually don’t care about buying extra stuff (except of gifts), as I always say: even if I forget or miss something, I always can buy it at the point of my destination.
Then 1 day before the trip I put separately all stuff which I am taking with me, so that I can plan how to pack it more economically… then next day I pack it into the suite cases.. and never ever zip the suite case till the last minute when it’s time to go to the airport. I hate to unzip the suit cases before the trip, I don’t know why. I think, once it’s zipped, no way I will open it again…so better to keep it till the last moment in case you want to add something, to take out, or the change the order…
but at the end of the day, all you need is your passport, air ticket and credit cards... oh.. and in special case of Qatar - EXIT PERMIT!!.. lol...

Now I got something.
- I will do no overall cleaning before going.
- I would not buy many things because of weight and as Qatarisun said I can find the same items there :)
- put clothes in plastic bags as Canary do.
- I will not forget my laptop for sure lol ( thx mariam)
