Chronic Back Pain
I am suffering from chronic back pain since last year. I have already done cervical MRI and the doctor found out I have a mild slip disc. After a series of PT, I still have them. It's so frustrating to feel the pain especially when you are working...I did a lot fo online research, found some threads with lots of responses from people who have the same problem and I have a feeling that I have herniated disc somewhere in my thoracic part..3 days back, I went to two clinic for check up but unfortunately, both OP were on leave...so frustrating....

I recommend yoga. If you ...I recommend yoga.
If you could do this movement very morning when you wake up and evening before going to bed, you will alleviate all pressure in the back:
With your straight legs and straight back just bend down your head towards the floor. Don’t force it; just let your head approach slowly the floor, only by the gravity effects... try to be in the position at least 5 minutes always aiming to reach the floor with your head.
It won’t happen immediately, maybe it will never happen, but the process will stretch your back and will certainly alleviate.
Again, try to practice yoga. It will have a positive impact as most of back pains are caused by lack of stretching.

neelia, i suppose you can ...neelia,
i suppose you can find it in Virgin shop at Villagio.
You can find some guidelines on line.
The position I am suggesting you (you can start with this one) is the following:
Try to remaining the last position as much as you can letting your head approach very slowly the floor without forcing, just let it go with the gravity.

I would recommend before ...I would recommend before starting Yoga to consult an orthopedic surgeon, as what may be good for one may not be so for the other even though the symptoms may seem the same to us. Just to be on the safe side, not saying what nic is saying is or may not be good.

Happy, Correct, my ...Happy,
Correct, my suggestion doesn't replace a professional advice.
It’s just a simple and safe way to stretch the back and therefore to alleviate pressure that we build up by sitting all day in the office.

These are safe: ...Lose weight. Excess load can stress the spine.
Maintain good sitting posture during work. Foot flat on the floor.
Protect your back from cold ACs during long exposures. Wear coat if possible or position your chair opposite the cold source.
Do the stretch (pain-reliever therapy):
-If alone, lie on a single-size bed, facing right side. Extend your left leg further forward. Then slowly turn your body to the left side letting the weight of your left leg to pull your back muscles until you hear a popping sound. A refreshing snap actually. Repeat facing the left side also.
-If with companion, snag your arms back-to-back and let your companion carry you by leaning forward. You will hear the same resfreshing popping sound.
Do other safe stretching routines you can imagine (like the cat does).
