Yes You can marry a ...Yes You can marry a Pakistani. But it is advisable if you are settled outside India/Pakistan cos, there are travel restrictions between India and Pakistan cos of the turbulent political history between two countries and there are difficulty in getting visas..

well marriage is not an ...well marriage is not an issue. when you travel to your homecountries, authorities can keep irritating you. you will need to report to the nearest police situation if you are taking your spouse to india. Whenever/wherevver you travel you have to do the same thing. Thus it becomes a hassle. other than that there is nothing you gotta worry.

stealth, you are correct. ...stealth, you are correct. Few years back (around 10)one of my cousin (he is Christian) married a Pakistani girl when he was in UAE and both back to Kerala. I remember he went to Delhi several times to get her visa papers ready. Also the kerala police used to visit his house because of a pakistani citizen there. He used to gave a 50 Rs to the police during their visit.

Yes you can ...As the saying goes "Love is blind".
But practically speaking, in sub continent when two people get married, its not just them thats getting hitched, its their families also that get intertwined.
You will also have to consider "issues" between the two countries.
If your love is strong enough and you are willing to face up to all the problems that may arise because of culture, religion, family...then go ahead.

Consider this ...There are currently several international news stories regarding child custody cases of children whose parents are different nationalities. Google them and see
1. US man marries Brazilian woman. They divorce. Man gets custody. Woman kidnaps child, flees to Brazil. Woman dies. Child is STILL in Brazil with stepfather. No extradition between US and Brazil.
2. US woman Child kidnapped and being hidden in Japan. Woman finds child in Japan and attempts to flee country with her child. Arrested and detained even though she is the legal guardian.
3. British woman QATARI man. child raised outside of Qatar for 10 years. Father dies. Mom brings child to Qatar to visit relatives. Uncle kidnaps child. Child is considered Qatari under Shariah law and so Mom may never see the child again.
After all the news this week, I would strongly discourage anyone from marrying outside their nationality. Sad, but thats the truth.
