DJ/VJ/musician looking for a jam session
Hi all
I'm new to Doha. Starting work here as a programmer. Hoping to liven up my evenings by getting together with like minded people to DJ, VJ or jam with musicians.
Do you know of any good places to gig as a DJ or VJ in town? Most of the clubs appear to be in hotels. Can anyone recommend a place where they play some good funky alternative dance music (i.e NOT cheesy House and commercial crap).

As a fellow DJ i must say, shit here is boring, and if your looking for some alternative types of music...look in another country, all they play here is the commerical, top 40 sorta stuff...
