One of the perks of being without religion, you can pick & choose the festivals you want to enjoy...
It's a separate issue though that none of my friends are here to enjoy it with me :(

It's my favorite holiday of all, ...even more than Christmas.
Roast turkey, stuffing, cornbread, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie...yummiest food EVER!
If you see any canned pumpkin around, buy it because apparently the supply is LOW this year (bad crop).
But hope everyone enjoys it and gives thanks for their many blessings this year!

Hummm not sure but I think ...Hummm not sure but I think Thanks Giving may be a derivative of our Harvest Festival back home in the UK. And I don't know for certain so please correct me if I am wrong, it is a massive thank you to God for a good crop and all that. I think it's an excellent celebration, and regardless of faith should have a place in every culture. I am not religious but none the less I thank God for all the fruits of my year, and if the USA has been kind enough to supply a date for doing it, well splendid I am on board.

Canadians celebrate it on 2nd Monday in October.
