Where to find a nanny/maid that is qualified?

We are new in the area and need to find a qualified nanny/maid. We have a 18 mos old boy and one on the way. The nanny/maid needs to speak English. Any suggestions on where to find one?

qualified in what?? Babysitting and cleaning??I'm not sure they have qualifications.....could be wrong!!
