iphone 3gs ...The iphone doesnt cost $229 that is if you buy it on a AT&T contract over about 2 years paying extra each month, the phones without a contract cost $630 for the 16GB & $735 for the 32GB including tax. If you wanna buy it for $229 you gotta get the contract phone from someone living in the US because if you but it on contract you need to prove US citizenship n provide credit card details. Then you will need to pay that person the extra amount each month for perhaps 2 years receiving air time which will be worthless in Doha. Prices are $630 & $735 if you want it without contract, simple

As Chad has mentioned, the ...As Chad has mentioned, the price you are talking about (229$) is with a 2 year contract.
You can jailbreak (to get programs & games for free rather than buy them) and unlock your iPhone 3GS. The tools and how to is available online and you can google it. I have personally jailbreaked and unlocked my 3G iPhone :)

You can come to hotel or coffee shop, see phone and pay for it...
no fedex, no dodgy money transfers. just honest help for us at QL
Just one thing. you will need to unlock the phone yourself.
That is the only issue,as the phone will be boxed, brand new!!!! thanks friends

iPhone 3gs ...I sell the iPhones in Qatar I have Black & White available for the 32GB 3GS, I Sell them for QR3300 a piece, still lower than the QR3800 the stores in Doha are charging, the only difference is that the iPhones that I sell are software unlocked therefore the new software unlocks are tethered which means you can use the phone on any network in any country but if the phone runs out of battery or is switched off when you charge it up again you need to plug it into a computer to allow it to reboot then can charge by any means. This reboot method will soon be corrected by the unlock teams.
