Comments and Comment Options
Due to popular request (and a bit of nagging by Neo and friends) we're trying out a new feature. You'll notice that when you are viewing comments on the site you now have an option to choose how many comments to display and to display them by oldest first (default) or by latest first. These options become really useful in long threads where there are hundreds of comments.
In addition, we recently had a couple of nasty comments by some of our members. Qatar Living is a friendly community that welcomes everyone in. Of course, one of the important things in any community is to respect other people and to be decent in dealing with them.
Thank you all for making Qatar Living such a fantastic place!

Threaded list expanded-wow excellent option qatari ...I just noticed that our replies to individual posts are indented to make it more prominant! thanks buddy. Also setting the maximum records to 10 per page has dramatically improved the site performance.

Bus Timings ...I want to suggest to Mowsalat through this column for providing small shades and bus timing information on many of the bus stops.
As the summer is approaching it will be good to have shades atleast for 5 to 6 people waiting for the bus along with route number and timings at the designated bus stops

Qatar Tribune ...Read few copies of Qatar Tribune, it is a nice paper with good overall coverage, i am sorry to inform that the paper is directly distributed by QT office atleast on 3 months subscription basis and not even on monthly basis.
A new paper should have flexibility for new readers to avail this type of opportunity as to capture the market and prove itself.

Qatari ...With regards to your observation about nasty comments, you may like to put a feature of "Hall of Shame" where you can put these comments with the name of person who posted it so that the person who writes such a comment knows that he has done something worng and should avoid in future.

dont know about chatroom but i keep messaging someone or the other...so i search for a thread where they are active.instead an instant message is better bcos the reader can see it online or offline.

Keep it up, Qatari ...It's great to see new features being added for the benefit of readers, rather than advertisers. I've just been to the Gulf Times site, and been told I can't search for a particular article until I've finished viewing an advert for a local furniture store. The article didn't appear with my initial search terms, so I have to watch it again. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wastage of water ...There is shear wastage of water in Qatar, I have seen many people washing their cars and big vehicles with plenty of water with hose pipes, any country cannot afford to loose or waste this much amount of water - that too good quality of water.
I have also noticed the sprinklers gushing large amounts of water for grass and decorative plants - these plants require my be 5 minutes of sprinklers to spray water.
If some voluntary organisation can come up and save this precious natural resource for years and generations to come in future.
