Do it urself ...Try to visit as many companies as you can and submit your CV, if possible try to submit directly to HR recruitment agent itself.
you can also go to keyresouces, i guess ...n in home centre building near Q-tel signl, they r job consultancy. but just try to do everything urself, dnt wait for others to help.
try bayt.com as well
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

I guess in your MBA ...I guess in your MBA (Marketing + HRM) they never taught you to use the spellcheck. If you 'serch' like this on any 'mediun' you won't find matches. I advice you to use Mozilla Firefox for all your browsing needs as it has a good in-built dictionary. You can download it http://www.mozilla.c...

It is all easy... with a bit of plan and home work. ...Check with www.clarendonparker.com and with http://www.talentpartners.com.au They recruit regularly many temp and contract jobs. Also try the following job boards:
http://www.gulftalent.com
http://www.monstergulf.com
http://www.bayt.com
http://www.naukrigulf.com
DON’T simply search a job… search the job which will mach to you. With a dedicated homework and perseverance it is possible. Based on your experience and your target job, you may have to rewrite the CV.. this is important. Get yourself registered (if you have experience) with the company websites like:
http://www.qp.com.qa
http://www.qatargas.com
http://www.rasgas.com
http://www.gecareers.com
http://www.kbrcareers.com
http://www.bakerhughes.com
Last but not the least………NET WORK…. talk to friends.

hey there.. here's my advice: ...network, network, network!
and good luck sure you are gonna do great.
btw networking landed me my current job, which i am really enjoying.
i just kept spreading the word to everyone and their dogs...eventually it paid off
even if i did annoy everyone in the process.

Well, it doesn’t make ...Well, it doesn’t make sense, when a marketing professional asks such questions…
I believe, Its a part of your job and profession to know it all…
Btw, just search some jobs online if the name of the company is given there, just try to contact the HR manager of the company instead of applying online….
Don’t go directly to him with your CV in your hand, just give him a call first and ask him for an appointment, of course he will ask you to send your CV to him, once he ask for your CV, just ask him his email address, I’m sure he will give you his official email address, send him your CV, its more effective than sending it to HR department or applying online…
Good Luck

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...I have done every possible thing for the past 1 year.Gulf times, personal visit to the companies, visiting websites of individual companies such as www.qatarairways.com ; www.qatarpetroleum.com ; www.hsbc.com.qa, websites of QAFCO, Qatargas , Banking websites etc........ every possible step :)
Listen to this and you would get a clear picture!!!!!!!!
The ads that you see in Gulftimes, if you send mails with to the e-mail address they provide, 99.99% it is not read.I have done that with keyresources and Talentresources.I have send my resume through e-mails and called them on the same day.The person who picks up the call cannot find the e-mails!!!! Isn't that soooo surprising? They say they havent received your e-mail and you need forward the same again. However, I dont get any Mail Delivery failure or any other error message.
You fax your resume, and your resume goes to the thrashbin next to the Fax machine.
You call them , you get an abvious answer that "Please send your resume to our e-mail address and we will call you".And that call never comes back.........
And do you want to know more about my qualifications and experience? I was a Technical Support Manager with 5 years of sound experience in 2 world famous US based MNC's (Multi billion dollar companies).
After hunting deperately, you land up somewhere. You feel somewhat relieved by thinkin "something is better than nothing". But again, if you hold a British passport/gulf countries/any western countries, you are lucky.Your salary , perks and designation will be good. But if you are an east Asian, then you have to live with a salary that is somewhat higher than the Office Boy!!!!!!!!!!!
None of these points are exhaggerated. The only thing that works in this country as far as jobs are concerned are "REFERENCES". So, if you have friends , good contacts look for that. Does not matter what experience, qualifications you have with you.If you have proper references in place, you can even become a CEO of a company.
One of my friends who is a 1st class MCA and worked in a world class MNC, is still sitting at home and applies for jobs through online surfing, gulf times etc.

IT jobs are extremely difficult to get here. ...What are you into? Software development, networking, designing or support?Software does not have any offering, I am sorry to say that. But web development is one, thats somewhat available.Oracle is what is mostly looked at.Networking, yes somewhat available but not much if you are a CCNA/MCSE.Even support is unavailable to the core. But try some "References".That might help you.Honeywell, GBM(IBM) and GE are the IT companies that are some of the MNC's that you can find.Nothing else.

Thanks ...Hey NB
Thanks for that input, its really helpful. I'm into networking, some web stuff, and support. Support generally comes with any job, but I dont have a ccna/mcse, its more a degree in networking/oracle/and software, I kinda went for the full shaabanggg, lol :(.
I shall do as you said thoughhh, look into the companies you mention, thanks againf or your help.

How To Search For a Job ...If you are searching for a job in the Gulf countries, you MUST start your job search from http://www.GulfJobSi...
But don't waste your time haphazard. Go to the section "How to Use This Site". Its link should be near the top right corner of the homepage. Read it, and follow the advice.
