yep not too bad really but ...yep not too bad really but if you a small eater then is good that you share (like me i share with DH) they also have the paper roast tosai now this is just like the one in KUL and the tea is pretty good too....unless you want to have roti tissue then go to TASTE OF ASIA ilove their roti tissue there(just near my hse too)

no not that gdn restaurant. ...no not that gdn restaurant. there are a few gdn rest here and they dont serve the same kinda food.i know how to get there but i dont know where exactly............sorry my sense of direction is atrocious...

CG - it's not a vegetarian ...CG - it's not a vegetarian restaurant , during bfast it is all vegetarian but not for lunch and dinner they also serve during tea time.
for lunch today i just had some baguette with cheese, DS had some pasta carbonara, gonna cook dinner tonight as DH will be home . menu tonight is 'daging masak merah, ladies fingers masala and some sambal jawa.....heehhehehehe

this is something my ...this is something my javanese maid cooked when she was working with us yrs ago.....(chillies 6 (red/green) sliced, tomato 1 (cut), large onion 1 (wedged/sliced), 2-3 garlic (sliced) , a piece of belacan an inch or so (up to u), now add a lil oil in frying pan and fry all ingredients till cook, then add 1-2 tsp sugar, 2 TBS fried anchovies(fried ikan bilis), a squirt of lemon juice, now mix all this together. remove and put aside when it has cooled put all ingredients into a pestle and pound with mortar(lesung). then serve with raw veg or ikan bakar.....(if you like it spicy do add some cili padi)bon apetite >selamat mencuba

Hiya Morning spicemom & prima_donna ...What a lovely morning. That explained why my sambal belachan tak jadi. Some of the item is missing. I've learned how to make this same sambal with my mom, before I came, tried more that 3 times tapi tak jadi. What a waste of belachan. Spicemom, is the belachan here taste good?

dunno but i have used the ...dunno but i have used the thai belacan when in KUL it is in a jar/bottle not like our dried one and it is pinkish in color but tastes the same, and the philipine belacan they have it here too also in a jar , this i have not tried.but i hear it tastes similar so when you are desperate still can give it a try, for me if i can bring the whole of GIANT i will...........lol

Morning CG & everyone ...speaking of belachan, i did try belachan from the philippines (was desperate for sambal belachan) but the one i bought (in a jar) lacked that certain kick you'd find in good ol' Msian ones. and it wasn't as 'aromatic' as the ones from home. so i don't recommend them.

I still remember back in KL, on the way to the office, boleh tapau nasi lemak + sambal kerang + paru goreng/ mi hun goreng / karipap / seri muka / roti canai / lontong/.........macam-macam lagi lah.
Kat sini the good thing of makan biskut kering is....badan pun makin kering....

Pagi tadi sarapan lewat so makan brunch instead (leftover malam tadi punya dinner), Nasi briyani & kari udang + poppudum. Malam ni nak buat nasi lemak, Noble Man punya pasal (tengok dia tulis terus terkecur air liur nak yang sama).
