After tremendous success of our last event E4U’s New Years Bash 2008, Entertainment for You (E4U) is proud to present DJ Aqeel - Live in Qatar at the beautiful and largest club in Qatar "Qube" at the Ramada Plaza Doha.
Yes!!! DJ Aqeel is heading back to Doha due to popular demand. Since it is our first event at the picturesque venue, Qube, we have settled for nobody else but the best. DJ Aqeel returns to what he calls as one of the memorable performances in this part of the region. Now after two years of gap he will be back in Doha due to popular demand and much desire of the audiences that love him.
DJ Aqeel needs no introduction. Abhishek Bachchan calls him the 'Rockstar' of Bollywood and he is the undisputed no. 1 DJ in India. DJ Aqeel is a hugely popular figure all over the world, certainly a Celebrity in his own right. His personality, charisma and versatility with Western as well as Bollywood numbers are great attraction to all audiences. During his previous stint in Qatar, Aqeel totally rocked the evening and the crowds absolutely adored him for his charm and performance.
Over the past year DJ Aqeel has risen to amazing heights and is soaring at the charts with his remixes. His also a regular Page 3 figure with his performances at celebrity parties, which includes performances for Formula1 party at Monaco for Kingfisher (Dr. Vijay Mallya), Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and many others!

Sanzqa ...For sure you can take pictures with him at the VIP area. He'll be there for around 20-30 mins before taking over from Joe Mitri.
Mind you we have very limited VIP tickets, as most of those would goto our sponsors. VIP tickets are not available at any of our sales points, so call on any of the contact numbers provided to get those tickets.

Charan & TCOM ...Charan : No way bro. Definitely not hindi music. Joe will play most of his numbers. He's a resident at Qube. Aqeel takes over later, he'd play a great mix of bollywood and western music, stay assured.
TCOM : Yeah I know I missed it. But been little busy with the event. Plus had to attend MOTOGP as well.

Thanks for your comments ...Thanks for your comments guys and we're seriously looking for honest feedback. It was really nice to meet you all, although I couldn't give much time.
I think this has to be one of our best shows ever. We had a crowd of around 1,300 from my estimates. We're still awaiting figures from our sales points to get the exact number.
Yes there were a lot more guys than girls, but I guess thats how it is in Doha everywhere. We didn't specifically target guys as our audience, whoever chose to come were there. Perhaps we should keep girls free upto certain hour of the evening to attract more female audience.
Aqeel told me later that he was quite surprised to find such a huge crowd in Doha. And I thought he totally ROCKED. No wonder there were so many people going crazy to touch him, take his pictures or just say hello to him. Admittedly I'm a huge huge fan of his music and his personality. But he's always known to play 60% Bollywood and 40% house + western music.
And this for who think he does drugs, first and and foremost, he's totally clean and I'd still want to meet a guy who has gotten out of an Arab state after getting caught with drugs. The guy had flown back from Miami a night before coming to Doha. Totally jet lagged and was running fever with 101 temperature. He was carrying a jacket behind the stage cos he was shivering before his performance. I wonder if any noticed that he was sweating like crazy on stage. If you wanna call it drugs be it, I'd call it 100% professionalism.
It really isn't easy to conduct an event of such magnitute and keep things under control, especially when most are drunk and in mood for fun and others looking to get laid. Thanks everyone for turning up. Hope you all enjoyed! Wait for a better one next time.
