There's so much wrong about this cartoon I'm not sure what the editor was thinking when he allowed it to be printed.

DaRude, he'll say the housemaid isn't wearing hijab, therefore she's capable of anything because she's evil.

Then why is it justifying the way the maids are treated? It seems like he's trying to portray the maids as evil.

I really don't see how it can be either way. Maid get's yelled at = poisoned child???? Little bit of overreaction by the maid I'd say.

No Partiality??? Are we looking at the same cartoon?? This cartoon is trivializing the abuse of housemaids by trying to justify it! A yell is equal to poison???? There is nothing neutral about this cartoon.

Regardless genesis, there is a big difference between verbally humiliating and poisoning a child in retaliation. This cartoon is justifying mis-treatment of maids and turning them into villains.

Funny brit, I thought the problem here was sponsors putting the maids in hospital, not the maids putting the children. If he wanted to represent this he could have done it many other ways besides villainizing the maid.

Whose the editor? How much he get paid to curse the maids??

Olive is right. Nothing justifies abuse of housemaids on helpless kids, even out of revenge. The editors should have thought of something else to address the problems of domestic helpers, not like this.

There's a very big difference between shouting and poisoning a baby. If they were really addressing the issue rather then trying to justify it, the maid would have a black eye and not look like a villainous beast.

Oh my God! I CANNOT believe that was printed. How on earth could they allow something like that??? Which ever angle they were going for, it is completely wrong of them to present the issue like this. For the maid. For the child. For the parents.

I have heard stories such as maids burning babies alive by placing them in ovens and and i have heard from a friend who's student's hands were burned when her maid/nanny placed them on the burning stove..Those maids did end up in jail, but not without a "cause"...yes so msg is simple, u abuse ur maids and ur risking ur children's lives.

This is something we can call "Bad Humour" Its portrayed in a bad way....the message is not clear..

by the way most house maids are the victim not the culprit and what I see everyday is that the Landlords treat them in a bad way.
