tanong lang po mga kabayan
Hello po sa inyong lahat, . May tanong po ulit ako kasi po ayon sa nabasa kong rules sa qatar airways about their baggage weight and limit, 23 kgs. per person. So kung dalawa po kami ng anak ko(5 years old napo sya) may roon kami na 46 kilos. Eh ang gusto ko po sana is pagisahin nalang sa isang maleta ang bagahe namin para isang bagahe lang po kami.Di po bako makukwestyon kung pagiisahin na namin ng anak ko yung bagahe nya sa iisang maleta so baka umabot po ng around 40 kilos puwede po kaya yun tutal magkasama naman kami kasma nadin po dun sa 40 kilos and handcarry namin. baka po pagpinagisa ko eh makwestyon kami kaya need ko po ang inyong tugon ayon dito. Salamat po in advance, Godbless you all kabayan. At syangapala kuya treysdad tumawag po ako sa qatar embassy kanina . same padin po ang procedure sa tourist visa, visa at passport lang po ang need to authenticate. No problem in packing your ...No problem in packing your baggages into one as long na hindi sosobra sa allowed na kilo ng airlines. Paki check mabuti sa Airlines kung ilang kilo ang allowed baggage for minor (kasi 5 years old pa lang ang anak mo)

50kg ang allowed for check ...50kg ang allowed for check in baggage and kg's must be in separated boxes...hindi dapat exceed ng 30kg and isang box...so it would better to make it 25kg per box... :)
oooppsss...but this is only applicable for going out of Qatar...
for coming here...its 20kg.. plus 7kg for handcarry (not unless they (airlines) updated)
general rule debong...hindi po pwede exceed one box ng 30KG...
so pagdadalawahin nyo na po yung bitbitin nyo.. (errrrr...sana meron tayong pasalubong from her..lol)

allowed is 50kg for check ...allowed is 50kg for check in baggage, but better split them up or they will not accept it. if you are a privellege card holder then another 10kgs are allowed. 7kg for hand carried luggage at dapat mag-fit sa sukatan nila.
also call the rerservation office prior to your flight if they are doing an early check-in so if your near the airport you can easily check-in your baggage earlier to avoid long lines :)

btw, the reason why they do ...btw, the reason why they do not allow more than 25-30 kilos per baggage is because of human factors and to avoid injuries to their cargo handlers :)

lovinni is right the ...lovinni is right the allowable check-in baggage differs if your flight is MNL-DOH. this is due to the weight limitations of the aircraft. too much export coming from our country =D

Liquid and Gels
As of 1 June 2007, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recommends all liquids, gels, pastes and aerosols up to 100 ml must be carried in one transparent and resealable plastic bag to a maximum capacity of 1 Litre. The transparent bag dimensions should not exceed 20 cm x 20 cm or 8 inches x 8 inches. Containers over 100 ml will not be accepted even if they are partly filled. All items must fit comfortably in the plastic bag. You are required to produce your clear transparent bag of liquids separately for security screening.
There are no restrictions on baby food and medication. You will be required to produce a medical certificate for medication taken onboard.

i always travel light and hate having those boxes & luggages which is really a hassle. besides, it makes you look like you're travelling with your apartment in your carry all.

Gawin ko nalang din talaga is iseparate nalang gamit namin ng anak ko just to make sure . alam nyo naman ang mga nanay gagawin lahat ang pagtitipid hehehe. Pagkadating ko po dyan sa qatar i promise you po makaipon lang ulit kami (dami po kasi expenses nitong nakaraan) ako naman po magset date sa ating activity kasi gusto ko po talaga kayong makilala in person. salamat po ulit. Btw... owen promise may pasalubong kasakin pag nagkita natayo

-Human performance is cited as a casual factor in the majority of aircraft accidents. If the accident rate is to be decreased, human factors issues in aviation must be better understood and human factors knowledge more broadly and proactively applied........
to simplify things, just imagine or put yourself on the shoe of a cargo loader lifting 50kgs for 8hrs, how would you feel? you'll be less likely to perform well on your duties.....

sigurado na 20kgs lang ang bawat isa sa inyo ng anak mo (check in baggage), at 7kgs naman doon sa hand-carry ninyo. pero kung may pivelege card ka may additional na 10kgs.

okie lang yun ...tita ko nag ttravel for more than 23 years vice versa pero lagi nya pinag iisa bagahe nila ng mga pinsan ko.3 pa cousins ko kaya kahit mga padala namin sa pinas nadadala nya..kasi pano kung 1month old pa lang baby mo di ba..sana makatulong kabayan...

Para sigurado iseparate ko nlang. hassle kasi magiging dalawa pa bitbitin ko kesa sa isa lang. Cguro di nalang ako magdadala ng marami hanggang 20 kilos then 7 kilos handcarry. thanks guys for the advice...

Read Again ohbee wan ...I think you've misread the ICAO article. Yes its true a lot of "aircraft accidents" are due to human factors usually human errors by the pilots or by the ATC. But I don't see any connection as to how a "cargo loader" and his "work prformance" can actually cause an AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT.
Also, I don't think the baggage weight allowance is being limited just to make life a li'l easier for these guys.

bring USB/DATA HD? ...mga kabayan...tanung ko lang..meron ba batas sa pagdala ng USB flash drive or portable hard disk (HD) sa qatar?...ang profession ko kc ay vfx/3D animator at madalas kami umasa sa reference data (mga e books,tutorials at plug ins)...lahat ito ay nakalagay sa USB/portable HD...balak kong dalhin to kapag nagtrabaho ako dyan...kaso nag aalangan ako kasi baka bawal or something...
kaya nagtatanung sana ako sa inyo kung may alam kayong batas tungkol dito.
