All About Driving In Qatar For Malaysian....

Malaysian driving license memang taklaku kalau takde Internationaldriving license. Kalau on Buisiness Visa and with an International Driving License a Malaysian can drive in Qatar for 6 months from date of entry.

Tapi kalau dah minta or dah ada Resident Permit.........sorry laaaaaaaa. Go get yourself a Qatari Driver's License. Hehehehehehehe

Before taking a Qatar's driving license, first of all must have pataka/-a-t-/RP/-a-t-/ID hehe meaning after 1 month or 2 in here.. so for those malaysian yg nak amik driving license kat Qatar ni.. meh me share the story about my experiance.

After 2 months im in here, i decided to take a driving license so i apply the application form from my company.. then they issued me a piece of application form which had been filed up with all the datas about my self in arabic..

I continue to traffic comission to proceed with my application.. once i handed over my application to the counter, they asked for my Malaysian Driving license to review.. i tried to show them my international license too but they said no need, so after few minutes, they filled up the comments in arabic in the application form and handed over to me to proceed with further action..

Baca punya baca.. tak paham so me tanya my friend whats the content of the comments.. they replied saying that i no need to go for driving course, they allowed me to take an exam without attending any course. Limited to 3 times.. then i replied wowww.. great.. i do not have to spend about QR1000 for the course.. yeahh riteee.. so the next move, i went to the driving school for processing my driving license..

pay QR50 then i register the exam, they told me the exam will be held 2 months frm now.. goshh.. what a bag of crap.. ok no prob.. patient dude i calm myself..

The big mistake i had done was.. i realy not bother to double check the date of exam after been told by the driving school.. so i just noted the date been told by them without checking myself by asking my friend etc.. bla bla bla..

when the date came.. i've been told that the exam for me was over 2 weeks ago!!!.. omfg arghhhhhhhhhh.. ok ok my own mistake... so i went again to the driving school and register for second time.. they told me that i have to wait for 3months.. omg..im realy piss off erghhhhhhhhh.. so i ask them what if i register to have a course? they said i can start the course after 2 weeks and had my exam within a month.. and if i pay extra Qr100 they will arrange it earlier than that..can u believe that crap? goshh..

So, without thinking anymore and dont want to face any hassle.. i just paid QR1100 and walked away..

Untuk Malaysian, u all kalau ada driving lesen kat malaysia tak perlulah amik course.. just gi exam je but.. paham paham je la situationnya hehe

ok, after i done the test and suceed.. they ask me to come the next morning to proceed with my driving license.. but unfortunately.. too many peoples were waiting for their driving license and they has been waited for a week, some of them 2weeks.. omg.. another absurd situation i have to face it..

Finaly, i got my license after 3 weeks i done my exam.. and total of time until i got my driving license was 3months 3 weeks... zzzzZZZzzz...

Maybe tak semua orang go through same as mine but.. maybe im not that lucky.. so u all pepandailah bila nak amik lesen tu.. jangan sampai tertipu or kena kencing ok.. hope cerita ni dapat bantu mana yg patut..

I got papers from my company - 02 days

Took admission in driving school and waited for course to start (may be coz I had a freind who helped me to get early date, else they were giving 4 weeks time to start my course) - 01 week

Learning phase - 24 days

Test date was given on next day (no friend involved here... the driving school arranged it) - 01 day

Test passed and paid the fees on same day for license QR150 - 01 day

Got the lisence from traffic police office next day - 01 day

dulu kawe buat road test jer...(lepas bagi polis tengok lesen mesia)

sebelum road test tu kena test isyarah (traffic sign la tu)..... masa ni kawe jwb dlm bahasa arab......mamat tester tu punya la suker....so dia tanya 2 soalan jer.

pas tu drive jer la mana2 jalan simpang yg tester tu suruh masuk......dan pass......esoknya bayar qr150 ambik lesen

wife kawe pun lebih kureng gak......tapi full test.....tanpa atttend course

rasanya kat sana mudah sikit la sebab kureng pompuan ambik lesen kot

yes there are bikers here in doha but in the summer you dont see them as it is too hot to ride so in the cooler months is when they are out biking....

Zirron ni dapat lesen qatar ke belum eh? senyap je tu lepas eyes test.

DHL nak sewa kereta with driver memang ada rasanya.. tapi nak mintak cip fetch u.. dia kena patah balik ke belakang kalau ke doha tu.. anyway cip kalau ke doha just on friday.. hari lain dia curfew hahaha

kalau ada us driving license just convert je but kena eyes test rasanya.

DHL - yes there are so called 'limo' svc here in doha (not the ones you get at the airport ) but drivers with cars and they take you to where you wanna go. this was wat i used before i started driving here in doha. tell the guy to fetch you to work then come pick you up fr work and send you home. i still have some numbers here with me for these guys just that i have not used their svcs in ages so they may or may not still be in doha but is worth a try if ya desperate..........give me a shout if ya will be needin it ya hear, tc and ciao

Bolihhhhh no hal nyer. Lagik pun for now Cip main sorang2 je. Takder sapa yang Cip kenal, melainkan dua ..tiga budakdari Team Qatar. Nak main ngan demer pun demer training ikut jadual team training.

Tapi yg Cip nampak banyak kat QBC is filipinos jer. Org Malaysia tak pernah nampak. Tapi Cip takpandai main sangat. Last Friday pun Cip main 7 game..baru dapat 1396 total pinfall. Cip masih belajar lagik. Masih teragak2 lagik ...time baling.

hey steel u mean lady limo driver??hmm so far never seen any but if you mean chaeffeur i am one of them yes but i only do kiddy runs and hubby runs(school and office) and i am abit on the high end.........muahahhahahhahha

hmmm someone once told me if you can get away with driving in malaysia then driving here in qatar is a walk in the park so to speak......hey if you cant beat them join them, not advisable to close  yr eyes whilst driving nanti nahas.....lol

sorry have no idea abt nursery or baby sitter as my one and only child is already a young man........

ok off to the kitchen to cook for lunch today i found the most luscious, freshest and gorgeous kangkung at the supermarket so we are gonna gorge ourselves with kangkung belacan, fried ikan masin and some chicken kapitan and white rice (not bubur nasi)..........la la la la ciao and ttyl
