you can always assemble a computer yourself with whatever specs u want just shop around and buy the parts urself. the graphics card will cost you more but a half decent assembled pc should cost you nothing more then 2 to 3 grand including a lcd monitor.

go to Tornado shop next to sofitel, but outside that in a separate shop ... they got some good models ... That was the last time i were there ... you got the right hardware that serves your purpose ... ATI and AMD are good for graphics and gaming ... The two GB RAM is fine too ... just buy the good brands ... don't seek cheap ones ... Lower specifications with good quality is better than higher ones with bad quality ...

Low Quality --> High Specifications --> Can cost something between 2500 - 3500

High Quality --> Little lower specifications --> Can cost something around 6000

High specifications don't mean always the best quality ...

Hey Tony

If you are going for graphics, I'd suggest going for a Quad core, as Quad cores are taking over the AMD's, AMD's were good back in the Day of the ole XP Athlons, but now they tend to heat up and hold you back.

Make sure when you are going for RAM to get the highest postibble Bus rate e.g 667 Mhz / 800 Mhz etc, go for the highest, to lower the response time to access the mem chips.

Motherboard wise, if you can go for an Asus of Gigabit motherboard, they offer high quality, and allow high quality parts to run how they should.

Graphics card wise, you will pick up an ATI card no problem in sofitel. If you are graphics designing best to go for a Crossfire edition that would allow you to join two graphics cards together in the event you feel 1 isnt cutting it for you.

There is no point giving you models etc on motherboards as in Sofitel you just gotta hunt around to see whats available, all you can do is go on information people have gave you , and then assemble it.

However I stress this alot, make sure you dont buy a CHEAP power supply. It is crucial to a PC to have enough power. Most powersupplies costing you 50 riyals will say for example 600 Watts, but in actually fact they are under rated, and only push out 350 Watts if you are lucky.

If you can spend around 300 bucks on a PSU
:D

And invest in a good coolant heatsink, not the cheap ones the shop supply with you, especially if your going to choose an AMD chipset, as they burnnn burn burnnnn .

Hope that helped.

Guys just to let you know I creatd a Technology section under help and advise for stuff like this.
