well done, i guess you covered all points, but don't you have to employee maids through their embassy and they provide the contract? I heard that from someone.

Yes, well, recently, I employed an Indonesian housemaid through an agency.  The agency gave me a contract written in Arabic and Bahasa (Indonesian language) but not in English so I have no idea what it says.  I'm just gonna play dumb.

My first housemaid was a Phillipina and we found her privately do the Phillipino embassy was not directly involved.  They gave us a contract model which I rewrote and made minor changes.  They didn't insist on just using their contract.

Alumnar said Did I just read.... ...

... on the contract page 2 that her salary is QR 800 per month? So why does it say 1,400 per month at the beginning? And also that she works 12-hour days 6 times a week, so why does it say a total of 48 hours?

Salary wise - I consider that SLAVERY - sorry, my opinion, which I am entitled to! After sending money home is she supposed to be able to afford buying phone cards or anything personal she would like/need, toiletries and so on? And if she has to care round-the-clock for a child, have you seen the duties she has to perform on top on a daily basis?

.......!!!
